"TIBERIAN DAWN FOR PROS"
a big-ass mission pack for
Command and Conquer/Tiberian Dawn
By Matt Darcy

Q:What is this thing?

A:This is my attempt at replacing all 50 original campaign missions for C&C.
So far, I have completed Nod 1-12 AND GDI 1-11, with alternates. One or two
of them have the same mission for both alternates-- but just as placeholders
for now.

Q:Did you really make these all yourself?

A:Pretty much. With the exception of SCB05EA, SCB03EB, and SCB12EA. SCB03EB
is based off the map "The Other Side" by cn2mc. With his permission, I only
slightly altered the terrain he created and scripted it from scratch using his
mission as a rough basis. SCB12EA is based on cn2mc's multiplayer map, "High
Tide." I used the map and scripted a new mission for it. SCB05EA is based off
of GiftS's multiplayer SW map called "Double Battle." I used his map and
scripted a totally an original mission over it.

Q:Why the original campaigns instead of just making "covert ops" missions?
Isn't this insane?

A:Why yes, it is insane! But seriously, there are several reasons for this.
First, there are certain behaviors and concepts that are hardcoded into the
original campaigns that you cannot reproduce in the "covert ops" missions.
Second, I really like the idea of having alternate missions for each level
and also the idea of slowly climbing the tech tree. I always felt the earlier
missions in the original game never quite reached their full "fun" potential
since they are really nothing more than simple tutorial missions. And I'm
a total nut who is obsessed with C&C. I even hope someday to replace the
map select screen and make my own briefing videos/cutscenes, although I'm not
too sure how realistic of a goal this is.

Q:How does it work?

A:Simply place the "sc-0000td4p.mix" file into your c&c directory, select
"start new game," and pick a side!

Q:What versions of C&C does this work with?

A:As far as I've tested it even will work with v 1.22 of DOS C&C. (although
you get some minor graphical errors in the DOS version as some tiles seem to
be missing)

Q:Well, when are the other missions going to be done?

A:Probably not for a while, if ever. I have 4 kids now and just don't have
the time. With the remaster coming out also-- well, who knows!

Well, there you have it! I hope you ave as much fun playing them as I had
making them. Please let me know if you find any bugs, hate them, love them,
or if you have any ideas for future missions. You can email me at:
