To play this mission:Red Alert2 Soviet mission disc is required.(Unless you have the full game installed on your system.
Extract the contents of the winzip file into your Red Alert2 Directory.Launch the game, select new campaign for the Allies.
The game will then launch.

"Were In Lockdown, so its time to make a return!"
                     -------------------------------------------------

Foothold
--------

Info:Commander weve detected allied activity deep in the Carpathian Mountains. With rumours of
a replica of Einstein's Laboratory, it is a matter of great urgency to investigate this and extinguish
all traces of this allied incursion. The Lab may hold secret information as to the allies intent.
It would be of great value to our mighty Soviet Empire if this Lab and its secrets became the property
of the Motherland.
Do your duty and reclaim these lands from the Allied blight!
You do this for the glory of Russia, and the honour of those that have fallen before you.
 - Do not fail in your mission!

Objective 1: Annihilate all traces of the Allied Incursion.

Objective 2: Locate, capture and defend, Einstein's Lab.

Hints and Tips: Defend your base well, you will be ambushed at times. Once you capture Einsteins Lab, keep it well defended.
As always there is the odd bug. Its been noted that the Chrono Troopers can bunch-up and simply sit around. If at any point
the AI decides to sell up, everything attacks, however Mirage Tanks appear to stay hidden.
Were short on waypoints in Final Alert 2, so crates will appear close to your base in one spot. Keep an eye out.
If at any stage you feel youve eliminated all the enemy and the game doesn't end, there is always a hidden unit. Usually a
Mirage Tank sat near a waterfall, or a boat out at sea. Go over the map carefully, there are a number of units hidden around the map.
Ive tried rushing, and Ive tried playing it defensive. Both have their merits.
Players sometimes like that 'time', to build a nice neat base, this mission gives you 20 minutes before the onslaught. Have fun.

Ok so there u have it,
A RA2.CFS file has been added. This will overwrite any other RA2CSF.file which you may of installed in your
RA2 Folder from previous downloaded missions. The file contains text which been altered in order to fit
with the maps theme!

Explanation: The Sov1.map file when placed in your RA2 folder preceeds the standard RA2 Soviet game disc missions.
This means that the first mission played when the game is launched will be this mission. To restore your games
original first mission simply remove the sov1t.map file from your RA2 folder.
The RA2.csf file contains the text for this mission, it also preceeds your game disc csf file. As above once you have
finished playing this mission remove the RA2csf.file. This also causes your game to revert to reading from the mission
disc as opposed to reading data from the RA2 folder.

Various slight modifications have been added, all to keep in with this missions theme. The moddifications will not alter your
original RA2 game.

Finally a big thankyou to the following people who have given so much
help in this field with their ideas and solutions......many have now moved on, but they're not forgotten.
Lion,(for hosting and supporting my work, a big thankyou for creating my own little section on his much loved and popular
site "RADEN" ----- Give it your support!

information even now..lol.
Roadxkill,(probably long gone by now).
RVMECH for his work in the RA2 community inspiring me with his own missions also for his latest work in creating downloadable script actions
which I used to incorporate my name and credits into the mapfile itself, thanks for that its a great bonus.
,for his support in getting my work posted to.
Cr@zyIvan & Miridor, can't leave them out.
ArgComdr, for driving me on when I sometimes lose interest.

Dark Sorpion, playtested this for me and informed me of a number of details which led to an improvement of the game, he also found the bugs..lol.
A fair few I might add, and made numerous suggestions to improve the gameplay.

Once in a while someone e-mails me reguarding my missions being hosted by other sites. For the present the four/five sites
listed above are the only ones that you should find my missions on. There are very good reasons for this firstly Im sure
you appreciate the time and effort I put into each of these missions. It takes weeks of writing and testing until they get
sent to the testers. Then final alterations are made before they are sent onto the main RADEN site www.cncgames.com.
I choose to send these missions out to just the three sites simply because if every site were to have them there would be
little difference between each site. Eventually this would lead to the loss of varitey between the sites resulting in loss of
interest.
As RADEN was the very first site to host my missions I feel it only fair that it gets everything first. This is nothing to do
with predudice against any other sites. There are some great sites out there go look.
I do not support sites which supply cheats/trainers,or anti-westwood sites. Despite their views on balancing the games.
Former dealings with some of these sites has proved that they have little respect for the many map makers opinions and thereby
contradict their own judgements on honesty and fairness.
Stick with the sites that offer originality.
