  1. Good day Comrades 😃 About: The intention of this mode is to make some rebalance and make AI more agressive thus skirmish mode more fun. Of course it is possible to use in multiplayer(both players must install this mode on the same version of game). New units\Structures: - Soviets now have Commando instead of Tanya(she is more Allied afterall) - Chnged skin of Light Tank (by AchromicWhite) - Changed skin of Tesla tank (by Nyerguds) - Allied now have Badger bomber and Airfields (it feels wrong that they have no Aiplains) to make it work I had to remove Yak plane from Soviets(no pitty) Changes to existing units: - All allied units gained +5-10% HP, exept Artillery +100% HP (IMHO vanilla Allied units are too weak) - Medium tank have mg90 machine gun as secondary weapon (to be more effective against infantry, all tanks have macineguns afterall) - Units roket incresed danage to troopers: Bazooka, Destroyer, Longbow helicopter, Phase tank (it feels wrong that rockets cant kill infantry after 1-3 shots) - Mine layer mines increased damage - All useless buildings like fakes, barbwire fence, small power plant were removed - Some units were removed: Jeep, Radar jam, Mobile gap generator, Aircraft carrier(I hope some one who builds new skins for RA can build a really nice big Aircraft ship) - Prerequsites of almost all units were removed ( faster search in the build list ) - Many other small changes I really dont remember everything 😃 Gameplay changes: - Increased speed of ore growth and its cost (more money more units can be build = more fun) - Increased build ratio of aircrafts for AI (their air attaks are very massive now) - Paratroopers now 10 instead of 5 (with 10 troopers you can do some damage) - Parabombs now have 2 bombers and 6 bombs (vanilla 1 and 5) - To capture building you need only 1 engineer (sometimes AI send an engineer to your base and now this action has a meaning) - Increased crates quantity (wich allows AI randomly pick up different nice things like MCV or Nuke more often) - Nuke damage increased by 300% (now its real Nuke not a puff) - Other options to change AI behaviour to be more agressive Install: Unzip to game folder, overwrite old files(dont forget to make a copy of original files before this!)   5. Hi everyone, I know there several posts out there on Virtual Machine LAN networking, but I haven't come across any referencing VMware ESXi. Was hoping I could start one. Here's what I'm trying to do... I have a ESXi host running vSphere 6.5. On it are several VM guests running Windows 10 (build 1903). All VMs are using VMNET3 virtual NICS, w/8GB RAM, and quad core vprocs. I'm having a heckuva time getting LAN networking to run for any CNC game (Dune 2000, TD, TS, RA - doesn't matter, symptoms are the same). On the VM, all games install successfully using the latest builds. All will run without error too. On the example below, I'm running Dune 2000. As you can see in 'screenshot 1', it does not allow me to join or create a new game. What's interesting is that the IRC client does not appear to load despite being previously installed. The Windows firewall is turned off. Now, by contrast, on a regular laptop - the same game installer will allow me to create a new game or join an existing one. I welcome your thoughts.

I hope this is the right place for my question; I started to play around with settings of a given tower defense map, but I could not find the description of these settings in the rules .ini(or I have missed it?!) so if you'd know, please let me know how do they work in the comments. I managed to figure out how to increase building speed, and the unit count of each wave, but I couldn't figure how to set frequency, wave count and so on. These are these setting (map name is: "TD 4.2 PRO FULL VERSION"): I figured that the first number after the unit type sets the number of units each wave, but for example wave 1 has 30 waves, and I have no idea what sets that. Big thanks in advance!
  7. Another day another question... How many triggers and teams can be created in one map? I created a map witch crashes whenever I want to start it... I can't find any mistake. Maybe there are simply to many triggers for the system? (More than 100) Thanks for your help!
  8. i was just playing a 1v1 in red alert 1 (CNC Remastered), and witnessed something that really stunned me. i soviet rocket submarine fired on one of my turret guns from, what seemed to me, an impossible range. i added a screenshot for clarification. maybe someone can take a look at the replay and tell me what they think. i have played this game for a while now (in the remastered iteration), and have my share of experience with rocket submarines (quite a pain in the ass). but i have never seen any of them take a shot from such a range. when i watched it happen, my eyes popped, and i immediately thought it was a cheater. can anybody confirm to me that this is legit? i tried to reconstruct the situation myself afterwards and could NOT fire from this point to that point from that range, my submarine automatically moved in at least one square and fired then. in this situation, the sub was standing still and kept shooting at the turrent until it was destroyed. is this an error, a cheat or just some insane range of an overpowered unit? greetings benny

    Hello, I played C&C and RA many years ago. Had it downloaded on my old Mac laptop (unfortunately stolen in burglary)! Does anyone know if the Mac version is still available? I can only see a Windows version? Any help gratefully received - miss this great little game! Cheers, Tor

    Hey! When I click on ranked match in lobby I get error message which says "The program cncnetQM.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Windebug_what_happened_message". Haven't played for about 4 months, but when I played before it worked fine. I did have to reset my Mac to high Sierra before starting to play again cause cncnet don't work on newest Mac update if this matters, but I used high Sierra before when it worked also so dunno. Normal gameplay from lobby works fine tho McLovin

  16. I got the complete whatchawhatever from Origin and I'm trying to relive the wonderful days of my introduction to RTS, but it seems as if none of the games are functioning. For Tiberian Sun, clicking anything in the menu freezes the whole program. For C&C RA2/YR, the mouse is invisible. And so on. Is it really necessary to download third party patches for games that Origin (Electronic Assholes) are charging money for? You have my thanks and best wishes, Me
  17. A very long time ago I found a Russian website with a RA1 TC called Third Revolution. It's a stand-alone total conversion with new campaigns and a setting unrelated to the C&C universe -- rather, it tells the story of a post-1991 restoration of the Soviet Union and its struggle against Capitalist adversaries. The author had problems with the black/transparent colour in the palette but otherwise it was pretty solid all-in-all. Back then I downloaded the Russian version, but later forgot about that TC until recently (had to ask around to remember the title). Anyway, the Russian version of the TC is available from The Red Alert Archive, however the developer's page also lists an English version (thirden.rar) among downloads, as well as a music pack (scores_full.rar). Supposedly, these were hosted at http://ra.afraid.org/thirdrev/, but the Wayback Machine does not have the respective files, and apparently they were at some point removed, for whatever reason. I was wondering if anyone still has these files archived somewhere? Also, it seems that the TC is based on Aftermath 2.02, would it be possible to upgrade to 3.03 Beta?
  18. CnCNET is great, and since RA source code has been released this is a huge step in improving the game and adding nice juicy features that allow us to enjoy the game we love. Add a replay system, maybe as an option as saving a replay could add more lag to games. Fix bug where you can ally someone who is trying to Engi your building which prevents it from being captured New .ini keywords, this would allow for more control over making maps of all types from nurple to Defense maps I'll list a few keyword suggestions Ability to remove darkness crate as random chance Chrono (superweapon) Crate Size of Nukes/Demo Trucks explosions Force Ore Regrowth on (ignores lobby setting "Ore Regenerates") Crusher Flag for vehicles Helicopter Firing Delay Auto Attack Flag (Tanya for example) Build Speed Multiplier (per unit/building) New Triggers New blank units if modders want to add them to maps. (Like Ferrets Tiberian Alert mod)
  19. I told you my scroll was broken and it was. I played the entire match holding right click to move across the screen. I think you think I b.s.'d you to get you to commit or something. That is not at all the case. This was on the CNC remastered ladder.

  21. Hi I am playing with 6 friends online with "cncnet 5" and we allways have the same units. I saw that the aftermath expension have a lot of new one that we would like to try. Can you explain me very simply how can we do that? I changed Rules.ini to see if its adding something in skirmish and i didnt saw new units. I would love a simple way to have all the possible red alert 1 units for everybody. The only thing i managed to do is to change some map codes on the map editor to have both allies and soviet units for everybody. But i want more! Please help me!! ive been seeking for a solutions for days! Sam
  22. Uh, I like to try and help the game be abit more fun and ask, if maybe theres a chance to make an Ai for Red alert that gets smarter after each player it takes on, this would make the game amazing making pros have more fun :]!?
  23. I got the original files for red alert via the original installation discs all the way up to Aftermath. What I'm wanting to do is create a Volkov type unit using the actual build for him that Westwood used. However, I am having a hard time even finding the actual New Mission maps to even pull his code, heck I can't even find the ACTUAL CAMPAIGN missions! I can find their text descriptions...but not the map files themselves. Anyone know where or how to accomplish this?

This gives a great advantage to specialty maps, you can actually make it stand out so players will actually stay and try it out, and also list the required map options in the image Funky even made a little tool that creates the code, to put in map. A simple drag image on top of the tool and voila, Create custom image (256x256 pixels max) Drag image on top of CnCNetPreviewGen.exe Download copy code of created file into your map save map, restart cncnet, pick map, click on blue WARNING button, give me your checksum+map name Reply with checksum and map name here, or pm me whatever u want Then i'll whitelist it!! Hi, I was able to play Red Alert on CNCnet without any problem for the past several weeks but suddenly starting yesterday keeps getting disconnected with the server after a few minutes of online game. Disabled antivirus, firewall, checked if any new apps installed.. did everything i can think of but cant solve the problem. What else did I miss?
