  1. A very long time ago I found a Russian website with a RA1 TC called Third Revolution. It's a stand-alone total conversion with new campaigns and a setting unrelated to the C&C universe -- rather, it tells the story of a post-1991 restoration of the Soviet Union and its struggle against Capitalist adversaries. The author had problems with the black/transparent colour in the palette but otherwise it was pretty solid all-in-all. Back then I downloaded the Russian version, but later forgot about that TC until recently (had to ask around to remember the title). Anyway, the Russian version of the TC is available from The Red Alert Archive, however the developer's page also lists an English version (thirden.rar) among downloads, as well as a music pack (scores_full.rar). Supposedly, these were hosted at http://ra.afraid.org/thirdrev/, but the Wayback Machine does not have the respective files, and apparently they were at some point removed, for whatever reason. I was wondering if anyone still has these files archived somewhere? Also, it seems that the TC is based on Aftermath 2.02, would it be possible to upgrade to 3.03 Beta?

  4. CnCNET is great, and since RA source code has been released this is a huge step in improving the game and adding nice juicy features that allow us to enjoy the game we love. Add a replay system, maybe as an option as saving a replay could add more lag to games. Fix bug where you can ally someone who is trying to Engi your building which prevents it from being captured New .ini keywords, this would allow for more control over making maps of all types from nurple to Defense maps I'll list a few keyword suggestions Ability to remove darkness crate as random chance Chrono (superweapon) Crate Size of Nukes/Demo Trucks explosions Force Ore Regrowth on (ignores lobby setting "Ore Regenerates") Crusher Flag for vehicles Helicopter Firing Delay Auto Attack Flag (Tanya for example) Build Speed Multiplier (per unit/building) New Triggers New blank units if modders want to add them to maps. (Like Ferrets Tiberian Alert mod)
  5. I told you my scroll was broken and it was. I played the entire match holding right click to move across the screen. I think you think I b.s.'d you to get you to commit or something. That is not at all the case. This was on the CNC remastered ladder.

Current version of Red Dawn is Red Dawn 2014 Last updated 5-29-20 Red Dawn 2014 is standalone like 2013 and still uses Iran Patch/Portable RA that added Hires and better compatibility for Vista and forward systems. Red Dawn 2014 dosen't differ to much from Red Dawn 2013 when it comes to single player missions. The most noteable change is Nod now uses secondary colors for all missions. Five new mission added and one fan made are now included in the game. Jungle theater by Tschokky added and used for five of the new missions. Red Dawn Online has been merged with Red Dawn 2014. This mean online play on CnCNet 5 (old CnCNet 4 has been removed). Aftermath Game option is now Classic C&C option and when turned on the game will only use C&C95 units and buildings. The exceptions are the Missile Silo, Ship Yard, Gunboats and Tranport. The Missile Silo is needed as it is the only way for a Nuke to be made. The Ship Yard, Gunboats and Tranport are need for some RA1 maps most notable "Docklands (Medium)". RAED (Map/Scenario Editor) has been updated to the version edited by Iran to use all 6 theaters. At this time the CnCNet 5 ra95-spawn.exe dosen't support the Jungle theater but I have updated the CnCNet 5 lobby's map preview generator so when/if CnCNet 5 updates the ra95-spawn.exe to use the Jungle theater things are ready to go. System Requirements Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7. Launcher and configuration tool require the .Net 2.0 framework. I think you could run on Win95 to ME with out the Launcher and configuration tool by starting the game from the RA95.exe. You may be able to get it to work on Linux and Mac with tweaks.   7. Hi I am playing with 6 friends online with "cncnet 5" and we allways have the same units. I saw that the aftermath expension have a lot of new one that we would like to try. Can you explain me very simply how can we do that? I changed Rules.ini to see if its adding something in skirmish and i didnt saw new units. I would love a simple way to have all the possible red alert 1 units for everybody. The only thing i managed to do is to change some map codes on the map editor to have both allies and soviet units for everybody. But i want more! Please help me!! ive been seeking for a solutions for days! Sam
  8. Uh, I like to try and help the game be abit more fun and ask, if maybe theres a chance to make an Ai for Red alert that gets smarter after each player it takes on, this would make the game amazing making pros have more fun :]!?

  10. I got the original files for red alert via the original installation discs all the way up to Aftermath. What I'm wanting to do is create a Volkov type unit using the actual build for him that Westwood used. However, I am having a hard time even finding the actual New Mission maps to even pull his code, heck I can't even find the ACTUAL CAMPAIGN missions! I can find their text descriptions...but not the map files themselves. Anyone know where or how to accomplish this?

Hi, I was able to play Red Alert on CNCnet without any problem for the past several weeks but suddenly starting yesterday keeps getting disconnected with the server after a few minutes of online game. Disabled antivirus, firewall, checked if any new apps installed.. did everything i can think of but cant solve the problem. What else did I miss?
  12. IS there any Chance to geht Player Ratings in the cncNet? So man People start in beginner games but they are not Beginners, so real Beginners dont have fun. Nö Chance to sehe who is good Player and who not. As everybody has to create an account their should be an Option hat Shows + of Winning games and Loosing games per Player as well as + of games. I know this is not a 100% solution but you can have an Idea of te Player strenght... We habe really big Problems as newbies

Hi, I tried to access the Rules.ini file under Rules in the Red alert scenario editor, but it just says file not found: (followed by the supposed address of the Ini file) I would like to modify my game such that buildings can repair by themselves. It would be nice if I could make other changes too, like maybe a class of aircraft that drop nuclear bombs as well as nuclear bombs that take a shorter time to launch. Hopefully somebody with knowledge could help me out?
  14. Greetings. This is my first thread. I have been modding CnC since like 2010 mainly for fun. One thing i noticed is that with increasing number of units and when the base get larger, there will be serious "traffic jam" where the AI player unit simply overcrowding the base and cannot move at all. I wonder if there is anything i can do to eliminate or at least reduce the possibility of such "traffic jam". As i found it kinda reduce the "fluidity" of gameplay and at some point slows down the game to some amount. (noticeable in Playstation version of Red Alert) The following is some of the example "traffic jam" from my gameplay Second example. Thank you very much for any response given.

  16. Hi, I hope im in the right forum topic. My client (Red Alert) that I downloaded is doing the 2 CD web installs for the original game.. However round about half way its breaks and shows this message: Operation timed out. etc etc. My internet is 100%, and when I try it a second and third time (using different mirrors) it gives the same issue Can anyone kindly assist ? Thanks

The time on the scoresheet is the same as the game time on the ladder link. I think based on the results Crush should be victorious based on the vehicles/buildings and air units left. Also, when games disconnect, the unit stats should remain on the page so it is easier to debate these types of situations in the future. This is not the first time this has happened in long games.
  20. Need help decoding this crash file. I had to create a duplicate so I could change the file type because cncnet site said that the dmp file types aren't supported so I can't post them.   21. Took a while, but I finally finished a full conversion mod for the original Red Alert. Able Archer is to portray how Red Alert would have played out in the 1980s. I tried to make it as realistic as possible with the limited engine. Original campaign works, as do most of the extra missions. Ant missions are strange, as ant units are used for regular buildable units. Installation: C&C Red Alert Able Archer is confirmed to work with C&C The First Decade with TFD 1.03 rev4, and the freeware version by CNCNet. Red Alert's version should be 3.03. It may work with other versions of the game, but may encounter bugs. **Remember to backup your copy of Red Alert before copying Able Archer over to your installation.** -Simply copy and paste all of the files in this folder into your Red Alert directory. -If you are using C&C The First Decade v1.03 rev4's installation of Red Alert, copy the files from Red Alert - Able Archer TFD to your Red Alert folder. -If you are using CNCNet's installation of Red Alert, copy the files from Red Alert - Able Archer CNCNet to your Red Alert folder.   22. The music will always be cut off when loading a game. Except when loading when there's no music, in which case it will go back to play the first music in the playlist. How could I solve this problem?

  24. I want this pillar to cast a shadow on the road but it will have a roadtile underneath it. To solve this I would just have to copy and paste the upper tile from the other version, however I can not seem to find out how to select any tiles.
  25. Hi, Trying to join multiplayer game of Red Alert. Lobby window opens, but I am stuck with connecting. * Connecting... (takes up to 1minute) No matter how long I wait, nothing happens. And I get no hint why connection is not successful. I have gone though windows firewall settings, and even disabled firewall completely. Still no luck. App can download game files normally, and I can also play skirmish with no issues. How to get connected to lobby? Or where to look next? Platform: Win 10 running on vmware fusion on top of OSX.
