  1. I've noticed that many users are having issues due to not updating the client. Apparently they don't think that it's necessary to update, but it is. So, why not make it mandatory? Woudn't that be better? Why ask them if they want to update or not when they're gonna face problems if they don't? I mean, to be able to use the client properly, see all available rooms, play normally without crashes and avoid getting kicked repeatedly for having different files (not updating) which creates a negative experience (especially for new users), the logical thing would be to just update the client automatically everytime a new update comes out (the next time you start the client), because nobody would want to have problems! It only takes a minute or so, and saves you a lot of time asking here and there, searching for answers, posting, reporting, trying to figure out what's wrong.
  2. Well i was messing around with the ccwmap editor, and i changed the teams like: in NOD missions, now you play as GDI and in GDI missions you will play as NOD. But how do i create waypoints to make the other team send forces to attack? (the other team is the old player and now the CPU)
  3. I downloaded a tool long ago (which I no longer have access to) for adding fast regenerating ore / tiberium to the map. So instead of making maps littered with tons of ore I could simply place blocked off sections near player bases much like the ore mines in ra3. Does such a tool or guide exist to add them to dawn of tiberium age? It also needs to work in multiplayer mode. funkyfr3sh made the old tool Im referring to but his link in my old thread no longer works and he has private messages turned off. Is this also something I could accomplish with Tibed? Assuming that even works with dawn of tiberium age.
  4. So I was playing Dawn of the Tiberium Age with some friends and we do get some regular crashes, the save feature is nice but we had a final crash in our third game that corrupted the entire line of them. Is there a patch or compatibility option we're missing? Could it be my router? is it just like this? We all use Windows 10 I believe. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help us! We love this project, 6 of us just discovered it, and would like it to work enough for us to finish a longer game. Thanks!
  5. All is Dawn of the Tiberium Age, Twisted Insurrection and Red-Resurrection is 3 Games Crash my Game Help!
  6. Whats up with the naval maps that won't let you build ship?
  7. when i click download and then run, it installs and then gives me this error message when i try to start the game. have tried several times and even different ways but cant seem to get past that
  8. Whenever you run RA2YR (or even TS), can you set the resolution of at least 2560x1600? If so, do you have a resolution option that increases the 2560 width but not the 1600 height? Does that option work? How far can you widden the resolution without increasing the height of 1600? Note: Included MO, TI and DTA because they use the TS/YR engine, and so are included in this question. It's a question of engine limits.
  9. Dawn of tiberium age works normally, mission, skrimish ..., but I can not host oline games with my friends, I can call him to play but when I play the game I am playing alone, a notification appears saying that my friends were defeated and I'm alone, can help (PS.My English is bad, excuse any inconsistency)
  10. Dear admins, I was able to change the gameport values of CnCNet for Tiberian Dawn , Red Alert 1 , and Tiberian Sun-(so that I could play C&C games on my PC that is using a multiseat gaming software called: softxpand)- by going to the option in CnCnet's game settings... However for Yuri's Revenge, there is a different "style" of CnCNet and it does not have an option in the settings to change the gameport. How do I change the gameport for Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge to make it compatible with the multiseat software? Thank You, Noddynod443
  11. Hi Trying to download and launch Dawn of Tiberian Age (and the others, once I manage to get this one working), using Windows 10, however when downloading n& trying to launch I am not having much luck. Could somebody assist? Thanks
  12. i was using Mental omega, clicked on a map, an error came up telling me that the game crashed because an image file wasnt supported. then i tried relaunching mental omega and now i keep getting an error telling me that the DTA Launcher has stopped working, how do i fix this?
  13. I didn't know where to post it since it actually works with all classic westwood games (td, ra, ts, ra2, dune 2000). DDrawCompat is a DirectDraw proxy dll just like cnc-ddraw, ts-ddraw, ddwrapper. It improved the performance dramatically for everyone who tested it yet (went over 14000 FPS in ra1 for me!!). It also solves the alt+tab bugs on windows 8/10 (and the menu bugs too). It should work fine on Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10. (We had no one to try Vista yet) Even if you don't have any issues with the games, it's still worth a try. It prevents slow downs in big battles online or even in skirmish with AI. Give it a try: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases Note: use the latest experimental release
  14. Hi, I play dawn of the tiberium age online. It's always worked fine but when i click the play online button i get the error message - the system cannot find the file specified. The icon then disappears from my desktop. I'm not sure what has caused this issue or how to rectify it? Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks!!!
  15. Can someone please help? We were playing and now every time we enter a game it says we lost connection to the other player.
  16. So me and a group of work friends have been playing a lot of the games through CnCNet recently, I usually host them but I noticed as host I tend to get a bit of delay in game. So I thought maybe I'd look into spinning up a server through DigitalOcean, or an old tower. I did some light searching and found a post from 2016 which stated that the specs were 1 Core, 512 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD. Do these still hold true, and are they the recommended level specs for a cncnet server? Thanks ahead of time!
  17. Anytime i launch the game online especially YR & MO, the game waits for all players to enter, but the connection bar goes to red slowly (gradual). EDIT: i think i know why i can't play, i tried to open valve's steam client week ago, and after that, i got something shocking, i had a message saying: "An incompatible version of HMIPCore.dll (related to HideMyIP / My Privacy Tools) has been detected inside of the Steam process." "We suggest updating or uninstalling this software if you experience crashes or network shutdowns while running Steam or Individual games.", Maybe this has something to do with CnCNet5 too.
  18. Running CnCNet server using systemd (Linux x64) wget downloads.cncnet.org/tunnel.sh sh tunnel.sh 200 "Unnamed Server" If you're unsure what linux distro to choose, just take the latest version of Ubuntu Using the above method you can run both CnCNet servers as a service and they will continue to run even after the server restarted. Alternatively you can also run the servers individually (see below): New Server (All Games) Linux x64 example: wget -c https://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-server.tgz -O - | tar -xz nohup ./cncnet-server --name "My cool server" --maxclients 200 --port 50001 --portv2 50000 > cncnet-server.log 2>&1 & Linux ARM Windows: On XP, Vista and 7 make sure .NET 4.0 is installed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=17113 Download the server and start it: http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-server-gui.exe Note: Servers are chosen automatically by CnCNet and are only used in case 2 players fail to establish a Peer-To-Peer connection. Yuri's Revenge players can select a specific server via the advanced settings while hosting a game room. Old Server (Yuris Revenge only) Linux (Ubuntu) example: sudo apt-get install default-jre wget http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-tunnel.exe nohup java -jar cncnet-tunnel.exe -name "My cool server" -maxclients 200 -port 50000 -headless > cncnet-tunnel.log 2>&1 & Windows: Download the server and start it: http://downloads.cncnet.org/cncnet-tunnel.exe Note: To use a specific server you'll have to select it via the advanced settings while hosting a game room. The servers will not show up instantly on the website, it can take up to 4 hours
