  1. I'm trying to play ra1 online. I click on the "Play Online" which attempts to launch cncnet5.exe but it doesn't launch. The event viewer shows the following 2 events when i try to run the game Event 1 Level: Error Message: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.9151 - Source: .NET Runtime ^^^ Not a very informative error Event 2 level: Information source: windows error reporting Message: Fault bucket 1500961723287199156, type 5 Event Name: CLR20r3 Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: cncnet5.exe P2: 5.0.0.0 P3: 5f4f87ab P4: cncnet5 P5: 5.0.0.0 P6: 5f4f87ab P7: 2 P8: 61 P9: FatalError P10: To be fair, I'm a developer and i've got a .net development environment going (this is my work laptop as well) with every possible .net version for various reasons. I've installed and uninstalled .net 3.5 a few times but still no success. Do we know if/when there will be a .net 4.5 version of cncnet?

  4. Hello guys! I had a weird a weird issue. I'm currently developing a next version of CCRDX mod and i modified one civilian slot (C3 known as Shelly) as a buildable unit. As rules.ini i turned a value NamedCivilians=yes and with Ingame Strings editor i edited conquer.eng Shelly's name as a suitable unit name. Let's just say that Shelly is no more Shelly but her in-game name is Sniper. A few days ago i was testing a mission which had a Desert theater and i found out that if NamedCivilians is turned on, some of the civilian building names are really weird, such as "are you propse a draw?", etc. -> clicking on that building crashes game immediately. -> But when namedcivilians is turned off, the building name is "civilian building" and game won't crash anymore. -> But if NamedCivilians is turned off, my C3 slot unit name is "Civilian" and i can't edit the name. This is a quality issue. Any ideas how to fix this issue? My goal: I want that each civilian building has a name "civilian building" and game won't crash and also i want that my C3 unit in-game name is Sniper. What i know is that editing rules.ini putting the name tag on a certain building can fix this, but it can also cause many crashes making my mod non-playable. I also tried to make a list of every Civilian building, put the Name=Civilian Building on it and insert these values under certain mission file, this worked 50-50. I'm using Iran's PortableRA

  6. All Medals were reset and a new map was created, please check the new rules below Rules: 1. Settings = Color: Yellow, Country: Germany, Speed: 7 2. Stacking/fooling the AI is not allowed - Do not park any tanks next to the kennels to destroy/block them on purpose (no force fire etc..) 5. Your screen resolution must be 1280x width or below and 720x height or below (1024*768, 1920x1080 etc... are not allowed) 6. 1 trusted spectator must watch you playing the map (See names below) 7. The spectator must host the game room and not the player 8. The game must run at an acceptable speed, laggy games don't count Spectators: robskate, Bravo, At0m1, FunkyFr3sh, Lauta, D1GA, Commander, Lovehandles, Ferret, ra168uk, lordy Note to Spectators: After the game you must check the resolution of the player in the score screen to ensure the player did not use a too high resolution. GDI and Nod are still fight against each other, but both sides has a completely different arsenal than C&C95 had. In this timeline, The First Tiberian War were not fought on 1995, it only takes place on somewhere between 2015-2020's. Since the global economic disaster that appeared on 2008, Nod has grown up and gathered up massive army. Tiberium meteor was also hit on earth at 2007 and has terraformed earth on a something which is not on this reality. There will be no mercy... My goal is to release the first version during this year. Currently both GDI and Nod are ready (shp's and voices). There are several multiplayer maps and hopefully i can convert several CS/Aftermath missions for compatible into this mod. Thanks to Allen262 great Red Dawn mod, i was able to use many shp's from there. Also several shp's were loaded from sprites.openra.net and ra.afraid.org. Few of the shp's are made by me (partially). Hopefully the following screenshots will get your attention... Currently something is missing from Jungle territory...
  8. Hello folks. I've been doing some modifications to RA1 recently. Got a lot more indepth than what I remembered a decade ago. During my modding, I made some icons and shps. You might find them useful. I combined/fixed (and rescaled) some shps together from other creators. I apologize if I missed your credit. Leopard 2A4 (rescaled from ROB's Armageddon V) - 2tnk Bergpanzer Buffel (made from ROB's Leopard 2+TD MLRS) - Uses ttnk BRDM Strela-1 (made from AchromicWhite's BRDM and M48) - Uses ant1 TO-62 Flame Tank (AW's T-72 rescaled into ant shps) - ant2 IT-1 Drakon Missile Tank (made from AchromicWhite's TD Light tank+2tnk base) - ant3 BTR-80 (rescaled from ROB) - truk Fennek (rescaled BRDM) - jeep M2 Bradley (AW's TD light tank + BMP-1) - apc T-80U (combined AW's TD 2tnk+T-80) - 4tnk M60A3 Patton (1tnk with commander's MG turret on turret) - 1tnk M163 VADS (rescaled APC+flipped TD 1tnk turret) - stnk I've attached a preview for the Bergpanzer, the rest you'll have to download to see.   9. Good day Comrades 😃 About: The intention of this mode is to make some rebalance and make AI more agressive thus skirmish mode more fun. Of course it is possible to use in multiplayer(both players must install this mode on the same version of game). New units\Structures: - Soviets now have Commando instead of Tanya(she is more Allied afterall) - Chnged skin of Light Tank (by AchromicWhite) - Changed skin of Tesla tank (by Nyerguds) - Allied now have Badger bomber and Airfields (it feels wrong that they have no Aiplains) to make it work I had to remove Yak plane from Soviets(no pitty) Changes to existing units: - All allied units gained +5-10% HP, exept Artillery +100% HP (IMHO vanilla Allied units are too weak) - Medium tank have mg90 machine gun as secondary weapon (to be more effective against infantry, all tanks have macineguns afterall) - Units roket incresed danage to troopers: Bazooka, Destroyer, Longbow helicopter, Phase tank (it feels wrong that rockets cant kill infantry after 1-3 shots) - Mine layer mines increased damage - All useless buildings like fakes, barbwire fence, small power plant were removed - Some units were removed: Jeep, Radar jam, Mobile gap generator, Aircraft carrier(I hope some one who builds new skins for RA can build a really nice big Aircraft ship) - Prerequsites of almost all units were removed ( faster search in the build list ) - Many other small changes I really dont remember everything 😃 Gameplay changes: - Increased speed of ore growth and its cost (more money more units can be build = more fun) - Increased build ratio of aircrafts for AI (their air attaks are very massive now) - Paratroopers now 10 instead of 5 (with 10 troopers you can do some damage) - Parabombs now have 2 bombers and 6 bombs (vanilla 1 and 5) - To capture building you need only 1 engineer (sometimes AI send an engineer to your base and now this action has a meaning) - Increased crates quantity (wich allows AI randomly pick up different nice things like MCV or Nuke more often) - Nuke damage increased by 300% (now its real Nuke not a puff) - Other options to change AI behaviour to be more agressive Install: Unzip to game folder, overwrite old files(dont forget to make a copy of original files before this!)   13. Hi everyone, I know there several posts out there on Virtual Machine LAN networking, but I haven't come across any referencing VMware ESXi. Was hoping I could start one. Here's what I'm trying to do... I have a ESXi host running vSphere 6.5. On it are several VM guests running Windows 10 (build 1903). All VMs are using VMNET3 virtual NICS, w/8GB RAM, and quad core vprocs. I'm having a heckuva time getting LAN networking to run for any CNC game (Dune 2000, TD, TS, RA - doesn't matter, symptoms are the same). On the VM, all games install successfully using the latest builds. All will run without error too. On the example below, I'm running Dune 2000. As you can see in 'screenshot 1', it does not allow me to join or create a new game. What's interesting is that the IRC client does not appear to load despite being previously installed. The Windows firewall is turned off. Now, by contrast, on a regular laptop - the same game installer will allow me to create a new game or join an existing one. I welcome your thoughts.
  14. Another day another question... How many triggers and teams can be created in one map? I created a map witch crashes whenever I want to start it... I can't find any mistake. Maybe there are simply to many triggers for the system? (More than 100) Thanks for your help!

I hope this is the right place for my question; I started to play around with settings of a given tower defense map, but I could not find the description of these settings in the rules .ini(or I have missed it?!) so if you'd know, please let me know how do they work in the comments. I managed to figure out how to increase building speed, and the unit count of each wave, but I couldn't figure how to set frequency, wave count and so on. These are these setting (map name is: "TD 4.2 PRO FULL VERSION"): I figured that the first number after the unit type sets the number of units each wave, but for example wave 1 has 30 waves, and I have no idea what sets that.   16. i was just playing a 1v1 in red alert 1 (CNC Remastered), and witnessed something that really stunned me. i soviet rocket submarine fired on one of my turret guns from, what seemed to me, an impossible range. i added a screenshot for clarification. maybe someone can take a look at the replay and tell me what they think. i have played this game for a while now (in the remastered iteration), and have my share of experience with rocket submarines (quite a pain in the ass). but i have never seen any of them take a shot from such a range. when i watched it happen, my eyes popped, and i immediately thought it was a cheater. can anybody confirm to me that this is legit? i tried to reconstruct the situation myself afterwards and could NOT fire from this point to that point from that range, my submarine automatically moved in at least one square and fired then. in this situation, the sub was standing still and kept shooting at the turrent until it was destroyed. is this an error, a cheat or just some insane range of an overpowered unit? greetings benny

    Hello, I played C&C and RA many years ago. Had it downloaded on my old Mac laptop (unfortunately stolen in burglary)! Does anyone know if the Mac version is still available? I can only see a Windows version? Any help gratefully received - miss this great little game! Cheers, Tor

CnCNet Client The map browser (left click the map preview) supports now mousewheel scrolling and category selection via mouse button 4/5 Tiberian Sun A bug was fixed that could give players an unfair advantage 2 New hotkeys were added, ChatToAllies (default: Backspace) and global chat is now available via Return (same as F8) Red Alert The limits have been raised, Infantry:500->550, Buildings: 600->650, Aircrafts: 100->150, Units: 500->650, Vessels: 100->150 A bug was fixed that caused the game to glitch (Crash/OOS/Disconnect) when the unit limit was reached, sidebar icons will not gray out anymore when the limit was reached and you don't need to right click to be able to build again 2 New hotkeys were added, ChatToAllies via Backspace and global chat is now available via Return (same as F8)
  24. Hi there just downloaded and installed Tiberian Sun Online from here. Whenever i want to start a game (TSMPLauncher.exe) (for instance i select Skirmish and then just Launch Game (with the default Map & AI Opponent)) i get "Unable to read scenario" Message and after clicking the ok button the game just hangs on a black screen. The same happens when i download Red Alert Online from here. Happened a few month back on Windows 10 v1809. Now happens on a clean, fully patched Windows 10 v1903. Hardware is an HP Elitebook 840 G5 with an Intel i7-8650U, 32GB RAM & NVMe SSD. No compatibility mode on any exe. Default Graphics settings: Automatic (DDrawCompat & ddwrapper doesn't work). pleas help! thanks Note: Separate Single Player installation of Tiberian Sun 2.03 works (classic & firestorm) so the hardware & os clearly can run tiberian sun.

    Hey! When I click on ranked match in lobby I get error message which says "The program cncnetQM.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Windebug_what_happened_message". Haven't played for about 4 months, but when I played before it worked fine. I did have to reset my Mac to high Sierra before starting to play again cause cncnet don't work on newest Mac update if this matters, but I used high Sierra before when it worked also so dunno. Normal gameplay from lobby works fine tho McLovin
