  1. But a couple of destroyers > a huge sub fleet
  2. Ok, so I'm playing against my brother online. And its great. So far, I've always won using the soviets and he uses the allies (for some reason we always play like this). But I can't seem to stop his navy. Everytime we played I won, but he gets a bit better regarding my tactics. He uses Cruises and Destroyers. And as many submarines as I build, they usually don't last long against destroyers and the cruises range is godlike. Last round I ended up with a base in the middle of the map while he had only cruises and some destroyers left (on land, I rule). I had to win by using migs on him (and boy they are useless). Still there has to be a way to counter allies navy without having to run away from the water :/ Aftermath included. We always play A Path Beyond.

    Can't play RA online

Well... I don't know. I don't think so, but apparently I did. Good thing it worked. I installed it on my brother's notebook today and when I went back home we set up a match with Teamspeak and played 3 of them, it was really fun (and played very smoothly, unlike AoEII). I was a bit skeptical about it (I managed to connect to Westwood, but wasn't sure if there was going to be lag or not). But there wasn't, even in spite of my brother's 3.5g (movistar) connection. This is the first time I ever played RA online (I played the game TONS of times on network though). It was a blast. Too bad there aren't many players around (if any). RA is still the best RTS in my books.
  4. I posted this in maps? Oh, I'm sorry I though I was posting on the Repair Bay . Must have slipped. Anyway, that did the trick Now works perfectly.
  5. I have C&C 95, and it runs ok on XP but it slows down when there are many units on screen (doesn't have to bee too many, the common ammount with a normal size base is enough to slow it down). This still happens even after installing the unnoficial 1.6 patch. I don't know why. Red Alert doesn't slow down. The more units, the worse it gets (and I like playing fast O_o). If I move the screen to a place in the map where there aren't units the speed is partially recovered (not entirely though), but slows again once I look at the units again.

    Can't play RA online

Nope. Never used that. I select "Internet". It asks me to go and register on Westwood. I say "no". Then I input a username (gmgo) and a password consisting of 8 chars. And after a while with the message "logging in" on the screen, it gives me connection timed out.

    Can't play RA online

Hello, I'm new here. I've installed Red Alert both from my original disc (and patched it to 3.03) and from the file in the download section (that comes the game + expansions + patch with no videos). Anyway, I am trying to get online but failed to do so. When I put a nickname (gmgo) and a random 8 chars password, but after a while it says connection timed out. I've opened all ports mentioned on a sticky on my router as well as on my windows firewall. What am I doing wrong?
