My friend with Win8.1 still crashes after a few minutes. A bit more info: we're both running the launcher in WinXP service pack 3 compatibility mode, otherwise the game won't even run for my friend and for me crashes even in skirmish. We tried both 640x400 and 1366x768 resolution, both crashed for my friend. The weird thing is that we could play a bit longer with the high resolution than with the low one. EDIT: we tried the IE-ddraw rendering option with 640x480 resolution and we could play for 18 minutes before my friend crashed.

Hi I've been trying to play CnC Firestorm with a friend over LAN but the game keeps crashing after a few minutes of playing. Either my friend's game crashes or mine. I'm using Win7, he's using Win8.1. I can play skirmish fine but for my friend the skirmish also crashes quite frequently. Oh, I didn't know there was a configuration file. And wow, everything works flawlessly now, I can even use the widescreen resolution. Thank you for your hard work Tore! EDIT: I have a few question about that configuration tool: 1. What does the "Graphics patch" do? 2. What's the best render option for smooth and stable gameplay? Thanks

It asks for a CD when I try to launch it, and I don't have one. Is there a fix for this?
