  1. Hi, no. That one doesn't work on my friends pc either. I cleared out all programs that were running. It's very strange.
  2. I removed the registry keys, but still no luck. I know the game picks up anything named ddraw.dll, since if I put any type of file named that it will give an error. But, the one you sent just doesn't seem to have any effect. I'm testing on a system where the registry colorfix does work ok, so I would figure this dll would work too. I just wish I knew why the registry fix doesn't work for some people who have the same OS and same version of DirectX. I'm thinking it must be related to certain video cards somehow or the drivers. My friend has a GTX 750 and Windows Vista and no fix seems to work (registry, explorer, dll). If I could find someone with a similar system that it works for, I'll know it's something software related still, which is good news.
  3. If I make a blank ddraw.dll file, the game does pick it up and an error results. So, maybe it is picking up this other dll but it's just not doing anything or there's an error and it's unloading or something.
  4. Yeah, it lets me delete the dll while the game is running. Does that mean that it's not even being processed?
  5. Crap. Not sure what's going on. Would it usually complain if you didn't put the config file in there? I can't tell if it's even processing that ddraw.dll since even when I delete the config, it doesn't complain or produce some default config when running the game.
  6. Hey, that first one didn't work, the but second one seems promising. Do I have to use the registry color fix too? When I launch the game with ddraw.dll and colorfix = 1 set, it doesn't appear to have any effect. I'm using this on a system where the normal registry colorfix works, so I'm not sure why it's having no effect with this ddraw.dll option.
  7. Hi, guys. I use this fix for a program I made to play another game. It works for 95% of people. I'm curious about the 5% it doesn't work for though. Two of the people had ATI video cards, so I started to think it was that. But, one upgraded to a GTX 750 and had the same problem. He uses Vista 64. I upgraded him to 7 64 and the problem persisted. Has anyone figured out the exact reason why this fix doesn't work for everyone?
