I think this is a narrowminded answer. One of my games was just ruined by Windows Notification (effectively tabbing me out to inform me of nothing), and a subsequent game by Java Updater. So even if you're not tabbing out yourself, the lack of support for alt-tabbing can ruin your gaming experience completely. If you still do not see the issue; I'm not sure what would make you.
