Sorry for the late reply. Yes, i use the porting kit to play Red Alert. I'm not sure how to check the version. I found it in my downloads, and attached a photo with the information i could find.

Hi Any idea why Red Alert sometimes crashes in multiplayer? It happens about 40/50% of the time. About 15 minutes into the game, it just freezes.

Hi When i play Tiberian Dawn on my Mac, it always crashes after 5 minutes? Is it possible to play this game on a Macbook Pro, or should i give up?

Hi I've been playing Red Alert 1. I only play the Skirmish games. I'd say about 80/90% of the time, the game freezes after about 20/30 minutes. Is there a was to stop this from happening? By the way, i'm playing on a MacBook pro.

I'd say that the crash bug happens 50% of the time. always after a game has finished. Also, about the hot keys. I tried the CTRL plus a number to make groups. That worked fine. X also works for scattering the units. A lot of the other keys dont seem to work though. For example, in the settings it says that G is the 'Guard' hot key. To use it, i selected some units, pressed G, then clicked on a harvester that i wanted them to guard. Nothing happened though. Am i doing it wrong, or does the hot key not work?

Does anyone know how to get the hot keys on Red Alert working on a mac?

Ok, so i played the skirmish online, and the cursor seems to be ok. Maybe it only disappears on offline mode. The only problem i have now is that usually after a game, the screen goes black, and i have to re-start my laptop. I guess i can deal with that though. At least i get to finish a game now! Thanks

By the way, do you know if there are any other hot keys? For grouping units and things like that? I've done what you recommended in the message above, and i'm going to have a game now to see if it works. I'll let you know. Thanks!

Does anyone else have issues with the cursor disappearing? It happens quite often with me, and i have to quit the game. Anyone know how to fix it. By the way, i'm playing Red Alert.
