Savager

I'm replaying the C&C games and I'm stuck on trying to get YR to work. All the previous games worked but I've tried YR with and without C&CNet's patch, every compatibility mode, running as administrator, and it doesn't even get as far as the loading screen. The screen just goes black with a white mouse cursor, then stops. Where do I go from here?
