This happens every time I close the game and I can't get the game to work properly either

Every time I load the game to play RA2 campaign recently the game doesn't work (slow and laggy) so when I exit to change the renderer in the client the game always asks for repair and I can't seem to get it to work. This has only been a problem for the past couple of weeks as it was working perfect prior to that and I'm stumped on what is causing these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated
