Playing Dune 2000 on linux

So i recently downloaded Dune 2000 because I wanted to play with a friend, and I've experienced the games randomly just crashing with the message: Game is out of sync. We've tried disabling the music, since we read that on the forums, though it was a patch for Red Alert, though Red Alert works flawlessly through wine. We still have no idea about what can cause this error to occur. We've downloaded the game via PlayOnLinux, and we don't if that does any difference. We just wanna to play without any trouble. We've tried both LAN and Online, and the problem is the same. Does anyone have an idea of what causes this problem?
