Noob question about skirmishes

How do you win a skirmish? Is it by killing all of the enemy units, because the enemy can always produce more units through its structures, so how is a victory declared in a skirmish?

You win skirmish by completely wiping the enemy off the map--Both structures and units.

Assuming that you are playing Skirmish via the CnCNet client, you can also enable the "short game" setting to change the win condition to "Destroy ALL buildings" instead of "all units AND buildings"
