Unable to start Red Alert 2 (and Yuri's Revenge) - Error Launching "gamemd-spawn.exe"

Hiya,

I noted there was a closed article on here about this one, but even downloading the update my game fails to start up. I found the file elsewhere, but I cannot copy the file into the game directory as it seems locked (I have gone through amending ownership of the folder etc.). It as if the folder is read only, but it is not. Tried running Explorer as 'Admin' and it still fails.

Has anyone else had this same issue and fixed it? Cheers
