update failed....Please check your connection, anti-virus and firewall settings

Ok so was nearing the end of a game and got disconnected from cncnet. Tried to reopen and when the updater appears i get the message "update failed....Please check your connection, anti-virus and firewall settings."

 

I haven't changed any settings and have been playing fine all night. I turned my firewall off to test and still get same error message. I don't currently have an anti virus program installed.

 

Seems to be working now after giving it a few minutes. Not sure what cause it?
