Briar Patch

I just down loaded Tiberian Sun and it freezes up a minute or two in the very fist mission on the single player campaign. Am I missing a patch or something if so where do I go to find it. My computer is running Windows 10, It is a brand new computer. I do have the original disk but it won't load on this computer for some reason.
