The original is open source, they will use a completely new engine for the remaster. Both games might share the "red alert" name, but that is all they will share. Keep on making maps for as long as your heart desires.

In honour of the festive season 2018, I will be uploading every Red Alert campaign mission to Youtube. There will be 2 Soviet missions everyday in the run up to Christmas, then the Allied missions will be uploaded between Christmas and the start of the New Year. Has anyone else experienced a white screen then half your base being wiped out? Is it from the Allied Tech Center GPS satellite thing? Was playing a game, almost at the end, then the white screen happened. I still won the mission, but just a bit curious to what it is.

Can someway explain to me how the re growth of the ore field actually works? Like is the growth a constant fixed rate.....or does it increase with the amount of ore already in the field? For example is it worth it to let the field expand abit before mining it again to maximise the ore growth?

What if you hold Q and then tell your unit to attack, then still holding Q set your waypoints. Does it make a difference?

What if you just hold Q button for everything, are the effects still the same or does it glitch?

I have question regarding using the Q button attack trick. I attack a unit, then hold Q button, then click around the enemy unit so your own tanks move. The question is do I need to hold the Q button during the attack click on the enemy unit, or this is only required afterwards? ok thanks

I should add, the saved games were included within the red alert install i got off this site. If anyone knows the difficulty that would be amazing.

I just recently installed Red Alert 1 after an almost 20 years absence from it. I managed to get it working (eventually) and I have a question regarding the saved games pack I downloaded with the game. What is the difficulty of the saves- easy, normal or hard? I downloaded everything from this site, just wondered if anyone knew the level. Ok thanks for the help, great work you guys are doing restoring these old games. thanks
