Roww Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hello, I have a question about the .exe file of red alert 2, this is no virus?:$ Thanks!
Grant Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Hey - if you're referring to the CnCNetYRClient.exe, you can scan this using VirusTotal. Result: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/8a21a9c6b921085c3a6751537dc1090a0d2b7cb3a08d2f0da4f25f639c506627/analysis/1426270982/
55aa Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 AFAIK there's been some controversies lately concerning the file mph.exe (CRC32: 6CF70229), which was being alleged by a handful of antimalware programs as supposedly carrying a trojan or somesuch. Truth of the matter is that this file has been the same since when YR was released, so unless Westwood/EA Pacific have been leveraging malware all these years which somehow had only recently come to be known, then the file is probably safe (i.e. a "false positive").
