axelmonster
Hi! I've got RA2 with YR from Origin, and I wanted to use CNCnet to play multiplayer with my friends but I can't get it to work. If I use the wsock32.dll LAN patch I get error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) If I try without the patch I instead get the error: "The ordinal 1111 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll". Any ideas? EDIT: I'm running Windows 7 and I've tried running the launcher as administrator. If I try to run gamemd.exe or gamemd-spawn.exe I get the same errors. I tried running sfc /scannow as admin but it didn't help.
0 Rampastring
Based on googling, it appears that the error is caused by malware. Try running some virus scanners, if it doesn't help (combined with sfc /scannow), you might have to reinstall Windows.

Hi!
I've got RA2 with YR from Origin, and I wanted to use CNCnet to play multiplayer with my friends but I can't get it to work.
If I use the wsock32.dll LAN patch I get error: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)
If I try without the patch I instead get the error: "The ordinal 1111 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll".
Any ideas?
EDIT:
I'm running Windows 7 and I've tried running the launcher as administrator. If I try to run gamemd.exe or gamemd-spawn.exe I get the same errors.
I tried running sfc /scannow as admin but it didn't help.
