I keep redalert2 online running for my father, he has little tech experience and told me that he can't play recently.
So I had a look, I see there is a new 2.63 update. I tried to run it but it got to 92% and came up with an error. The issue was his 'McAfee Antivirus'. Not the firewall but the 'real-time scanning'. With the real-time scanning off, the 2.63 update works as intended.
I was hoping that I could turn the real-time scanning off, let the YR CNCnet update, then turn it back on but it seems it checks or updates every time it starts up. Hoping to make an exception somewhere in the McAfee program but doesn't seem to be an option.
Anyway, this thread was just for McAfee antivirus users who can't get the new update to run.
