  1. I felt nostalgic so I downloaded TS from this site earlier today and fired up a skirmish game. I destroyed the enemy con yard, then ion cannoned their helipad which was producing Banshees. A minute later I saw an empty helipad in the place I had destroyed it. The same thing happened after I destroyed their other helipad. When I finally destroyed their whole base I found they had not replaced their con yard. I know the AI cheats, but I had never seen this before.
  2. Unfortunately, no. In RA1 you can only change existing units, not add new ones.
  3. That's where I put it. Turns out I was trying to change some hard-coded values. I tried changing other things, like the minigunner weapon, and that worked. What I wanted to edit was the cost of concrete wall. After poking around online some more it turns out a patch made the cost of wall hard-coded. I'll just clone it and make my changes that way. Thanks for your time!
  4. Hmm... I tested my rules.ini changes in a skirmish match, but none of my changes were applied. Am I missing something?
  5. I am using the TS installer from this site. I don't have any *.xdp file in my Westwood/SUN directory. If rules.ini only applies to singleplayer now, how can I make a mod for LAN/skirmish games? P.S. - sorry for the necro
  6. I downloaded version 1.06 r3 from Nyerguds' site. I can't figure out why it doesn't work. I can play Iran's Portable RA just fine, but C&C 1 is way too laggy to make it worth playing, which is a real shame.
  7. Has anyone been able to get Tiberian dawn to run successfully on Windows 8? I got it to sorta run, but it was very slow and choppy, even just in the menu, and the screen was shifted up so the top 1/4 of the menu and playing area was cut off.
  8. So I downloaded and installed Portable RA the other day. The singleplayer campaign and skirmish work fine, but multiplayer over LAN does not. When I open the Multiplayer menu and click on Network it just takes me right back to the main menu. It does this with or without the LAN patch enabled. I tried in on Win 7 32 & 64 bit and neither works. Any idea what's wrong?
