i don't see how a color can be 'beneficial'. Dark Blue and Green are hard to see, but it means you must play more aware. I don't mind any color, as long as they don't cause errors.

Also, these logs like Sexpro- and Timmay- have both come up, among others. the - at the end instead of normal logs. They play tournies vs upper players, and the ones i've played frequently d/c and try to use conn switch to crash game.

He's played 9 games. 6 of those games are against himself. 95% of sexpro's games are against names i haven't seen before lasting no more than 7 minutes. Can't prove those names are freewins too, but this is the type of shit that kills the community, and defeats the purpose of a ladder. I've played head up with sexpro 1v1 and the idea of him beating ANYONE on TS in 7 minutes sounds hysterical, as I beat him without losing a structure. I don't know if there's a way we can prevent this, like resetting points, or taking away the proven free wins, but i'm sure if we look into Kaizen's other 10000 logs we will find the something similar is going on. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this stupid shit? O_o

I remember i used to have the color patch that allowed for like 1000 different colors lol. It was pretty cool. It's just different ideas for TS to be better. no need to get butthurt over other suggestions.

I logged onto RA for the first time on CNCnet and noticed they have the option to play as more colors. I think it'd be cool if those extra colors got moved to TS

Thank you funky. Yeah I'm not banned anymore. I don't know that a point limit is the way to go though. Because now IF the top 2 ranked players ever get to be decent players that don't dodge everyone, I wouldn't be able to play vs them because i started ladder late. Im just logging on to try it so we will see how it goes though.

My solution would also stop this problem you did mention, kapa could only play kaizen a few times and then his ranking would be too high and would not be allowed to play against him anymore Don't know about your ban, I thought Rosssi removed it already the other day? Going to check it now That could work. I think its going take a series of trail and error to get it right, but it will get there with some tweaking. Removing mod maps can be done, I even made a thread here about this some time ago I don't know if removing mod maps completely is the best tactic. That would again limit the game and isolate many of the players. Maybe make mods worth less points, or give an entirely separate ladder if thats possible. But as for removing completely, i don't think i like the idea. would make several players not play ladder and possibly quit

I agree with John. I'm very grateful for the ladder finally coming. And the TS population HAS grown tremendously. I don't mind teaching the newer players or letting them spectate games as long as they don't lag. But quick match would put someone like Kapa against Kaizen and if theyre the only 2 playing then Kapa is gonna get a quick 182937219837291379821 points. I got 43 points for playing players that are either way down in the ranking, or have not played tournies at all. We will get the kinks worked out and figure out the best way to get this going. I don't want to play straight up newbs either, but at the same time, i shouldnt be able to go into Kaizen's game, and play him 100 times. Even if i'm only getting 2 points, thats 200 points for 10 minutes of work at the most. a quickmatch feature could be a cool idea, if its optional. Like we have an option under ladder for quickmatch or regular. that might be a cool feature. But limiting the number of matches one player can play against another, isn't taking away from the population. It's going to increase it. There's going to HAVE to be more players playing on the ladder if that kind of system is implemented. on a completely separate note: like last year before I quit, there was a popular thing going around where a player was hosting tournaments on his own (1v1 && 2v2 exclusively) and the players all pitched in and the winners were going to get a cash prize for 1-3. Something like that could also be really cool. It's all just ideas, i know. But I think that not only would the active players have NO problem throwing some extra money or something for a prize. Also, I think if the older players that were really good heard about this, they would come around again, thus increasing the community even more. Just a thought! I've played 3 ladder games today (Spawn1uk, Southvibe, can7ona) and 2 of them (spawn, can7ona) were raged about the loss and turned the conn speed down all the way, eventually disconnecting. I still got my points, but had to wait a while for them to realize i wasn't going to rage quit because of lag.... but surely there is a way to slow this stuff down? Maybe make it to where conn speed can be adjusted by any player not just the host... or take away the conn speed completely for tournies. Once game settings are set, that is where they stay. Something along those lines. Also these guys (sexpro, kaizen, nemesis, steve) open games, and sit and either pretend afk or boot anyone good, and play only subpar players over and over and over. I propose we change the limit that players can play against each other in 1v1 tournies. Used to be 3 times a day and points were not exchanged for any games after that. Kaizen and sexpro having 111 and 75 wins respectively is a joke...

Yet I log on for the first day since, and I'm still banned lmfao. So I get isolated out of a group of people. Nice. Im not whining, it's more irritating then anything. If it's not resolved by tomorrow If i get a chance to log on, I'll just make a new account. I'm not complaining about being banned, I'm complaining about being singled out of the group all doing the same thing.

You're actually the only one who felt that way. Even the other players I was arguing with were on my side about being chat banned. Either way, Being banned for, what, 3 days now? Seems a little excessive. Not even this micromanaging on XWIS. 15 minutes to 24 hours and the ban was over. And I was the only one chat banned of the 4 players that were talking a massive amount of shit. If you're going to be so ridiculous, at least do it evenly.

Okay, so I've got a couple questions/concerns. 1. How long does it take for points to register? 2. What happens at end of the month to the #1-3 players? Permanent badge next to log? Medals, or what? 3. I've ALREADY had someone try and dc/rc on me on a ladder game. this maniax guy changes game speed over and over, then alt tabs out. Claims he's been doing it for years and has a download patch that will crash game and do that gay shit where he will d/c out, but still get points. 4. Why does a guy have 0 wins and 8 losses and still have 900 points? How is it that someone that has 8 wins has 1000+ points? 5. When are clans/clan ladder coming to CNCNet? I LOVE that a ladder is back, and I get that its a work in progress, but we should definitely try and eliminate the gay shit they did on XWIS and WOL

Anyone working on updates for this? So the software will work on Windows 8, 9, & 10? Soon nobody will have below that and settings will all be fucked for players that have to graduate up. Heard for later Windows you can't adjust the reso, and nobody wants to play with 8 boxes.

graphics patch didnt change much, IE-Ddraw made things drastically better, but ddwrapper with No Video Memory and Fake Vsync both selected was the best option. with IE-ddraw it still lagged and glitched a little while i was scrolling but this was virtually all taken away when switching to wrapper.... Any ideas why this would happen over the course of 5 minutes in between games? I dunno. Hope this fix holds up. Thanks ya'll for the help. :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer:

It does it in 1v1 with computer as well. I don't know what settings I need.
