I know this is a slightly older topic.. but ... all games can have ladders.. you don't have to play them if you don't want..it can be checked like any other option(most likely) in the game.. even the new ones added. A lot of people who play more competitive games (StarCraft II) as example simply use the ladder as a show of improvement, by playin lots of random people on random maps and lookin at there wins/losses to people, seein who they should probably play more.. to get better.. and who they have played enough with and can no longer really improve. Ladder is more focused on improvement of your skills it keeps track of the games played and who you lose again (That's the main focus) so you know who could help you improve. On any game. it doesn't make anything stressful unless you are somehow forced to ladder and if you lose you will be killed in real life. lots of people prefer it because it adventually leads you to more "professional" players. professional in quotes because unless theres money being earned its not professional ;p Now if its money involved, idk I wouldn't personally be stressed unless I was footing the bill. There are cheats in starcraft II, the players who use them actually get sued... for breaking into someones personal development.. would be nice to take it that far, but a banhammer should do the trick. ethier way I just focus on myself, not who cheated me, just avoid the "lamers"

I know this was mentioned somewhere but I don't read much about it so if and when you can, host em up If theres another topic just delete this its a reminder.. and link it to other topic Clans + ladder = mass more activity... as far as flames, I already catch em when I sign in from some peeps anyways bragging right's and hall of fame are a key for some people and are totally aloud that's the point of winning something, if u aren't getting a prize or playin for money. ;p - KiNG MaMMY

Hello, the king is back, repent repent Just a bit of knownledge.. for you all.. I'd like a ladder when and if you can for all competitiveness will always be there, all old school players from every cnc, will tell you the ladder was there main concern.. they left because of boredom of cheats on ladder I mean cheats not disconnecting or reconnecting... There is NO cheats on this server(For most idk about YR yet as the EXE file appears to be the same as the old one which isn't good. Nerd talk) So I say release the ladder when you can if you can, and don't bother trying to find people disconnecting or reconnecting, because from what I know as fact, people like that automatically lose activity quick. My first game back I didn't notice my ports or something messed up I disconnected once in beginning, and got kicked/banned next game Problem solved, will be like that... word travels fast ask my Ex gf. lol! Let's just say, everyone knows my personal business coz of words. people who don't believe will find out for themselves. However if there are people inventing hacks or old cheats work(I doubt this but its possible) than they will be found out over time Anyone who remembers WOL servers know the ladder was unsupervised for years worked perfectly .. minus disconnecting(those people didn't make it up to top of ladder) Thencheats came along and lots of people quit. Hackingcame along etc Avoid those things and we're good... perhaps change the EXE file every year and it will annoy people to re-create new hacks. I wouldn't worry too much though MOST of our community wasn't computer savvy to create hacks, or even a server Why dou think we got stuck on xwis for years haha.. oh well enough nerd talk, have fun and enjoy.. @ bmoeller ; attacketh i not, he pointed out a different way for me to stream/audio, and i simply replied with humor as in to say which I'm sure he got the message, I understand but I'm happy with my production and gettin people to go online with us.. is how i interrepted it, however things can be misunderstood, so we seek, a common positive outcome of conversation for many, others however do not. Sidenote:tootsie roll where I come from is a sort of chocolate candy here. most people enjoy them from time to time, i think of it as a treat, he showed me a method, (I declined because I'm happy in my way) and i showed(shared) a treat if i were in person i would present this gift,(Also can be declined with no foul) and then we would however go about our business.
