HE WILL 1V1 U IN RL GUYS CAREFUL. You should be ashamed of comparing cncnet to xwis. If you dont want to play mods then make a game with standard maps and plenty of people will join.

make a new toy franchise or whatever and have them make all the units and stuff and we can all buy them in packs like when you buy packs of army men. I'd buy it.

HOLY CHRIST! none of that worked but I did do the old detect and connect to vga anyways trick with the game and now it works with OBS!!! Now if anyone else has the problem this might be the fix. I've made a post about this before but it was literally no help at all so I'm trying again. I really want to record this game. It seems im not the only one having trouble cause there are hardly any videos of ra2 on the cncnet youtube account. I've tried OBS, fraps, bandicam, hypercam, camstudio, etc. to try and record this game. I cannot run in window mode because my graphics card does not support 16 bit pixel depth. How is everyone else recording this game, and how can I get it to work? I would love to use OBS.

I have tried OBS which people say it works and it does with all of my other cnc games, but it never works with ra2. I've tried fraps, hypercam, and bandicam as well. No success.

How in the world can I record this freaking game? OBS will not work, fraps will not work, and bandicam doesn't work. How do you record red alert 2. I tried using window mode but idk how to get windows 8 to use 16 bit desktop.

Emperor battle for dune would be awesome to support as well. However idk how people will get the game. Its kinda rare. I found a copy on ebay in perfect condition though.

I know you love the word FREE, but this implies there's no need to buy / own the game. The playing online is "free, forever", as in, cncnet won't suddenly start asking money for it Though I guess we can't actually guarantee the "forever" part in terms of keeping the service running, technically. Forever is a long time (though IIRC the server side stuff is freely available, so, yeah.) If the servers ever go down for some reason they will get back up sooner or later. You cannot kill the Messiah.

If its not free then why does the downloads come with all the files for the game and ready to play online? I own the game, but when I downloaded this and installed it I didn't have my copy from Ultimate Collection installed.
