Glad you've fixed it. Keep in mind that if you want to make any changes to aqrit.cfg file remember to use forcedirectdrawemulation = 1 and NoVideoMemory = 1. If you hav only one of tehm enable it will result in black screen and only sound.

I found that this bug happen on windows 7 64bit and windows 8/8.1 too. Try unsing this method from the video. Maybe is somthing went wrong with your monitor settings and now you hav a duplicate monitor. Copy the directory Red Alert 2 (Typically found in C:\Program Files (x86)) to somewhere outside of Program Files 2. Download the graphics patch from http://www.stuffhost.de/files/cnc/ and extract it into the directory that you just moved 3. Rename Yuri's Revenge to gamemd.exe, then run the patch to patch the game (for ra2, rename to game.exe) 4. Download http://bitpatch.com/ddwrapper.html zip file and extract the files to the directory that you've patched the game in 5. Edit aqrit.cfg in notepad and change these two settings to 1 as in below: NoVideoMemory = 1 forcedirectdrawemulation = 1 6. Create a shortcut to the game and move it to your desktop 7. Go to properties and in 'Target' add at the end after " add -win example Target: "C:\Users\Roberto\Desktop\Red Alert 2\gamemd.exe" -win note the space between gamemd.exe" and -win 8. In the same Properties Tab: Compatibility : Win Xp Service pack 2 (Seems to be most stable) Reduced colour mode : 16bit Run as Administrator 9. (Optional) Edit .ini file to change the resolution 10. Play the game

Try playing using windowed mode. Also enable windows xp service pack 2 compatibility mode or windows nt or 95.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 Processor: 1.60 ghz System type: 32 bit Ram: 2gb Videocard: GMA X3100 I hav tried skirmish with videobackbuffer on from cnc settings and the the game was smooth even the sidebar loaded much faster no short pauses. Also when i enable "Allow VRAM sidebar" im not connecting at all. I get time out or other system not respondig. Also i get other system not responding randomly on 6-8 matches. I hav an 6mb internet speed and i am experiencing sttutering in yuri revenge cnc. I tried skirmish and there is no lag or stuttering. Also i tried using ddraw.dll and the cnc lag is still there. Sometimes i get "other system not responding". I hav tried to port forward and firewalled port 6667 both udp and tcp and I still hav lag on cncnet. I also used the graphic patch and videobackrender options from cnc net settings and still nothing. And i discovered a strange bug. Is cncnet Client Settings should look like this.I hav installed it and it shows like this from the begging.
