Can't join the #cncnet chat channel, I am banned

I'm a newbie to CnCnet.

After skirmishing a lot I wanted to take a chance online.

However, it seems that I am banned from the chat, without even speaking a word. 

How is this possible? Help is much appreciated

 

edit:  YR tells me in the chat screen that I am banned but I am actually not banned at all. People can see my messages.

Figured out that I'm not banned at all

This was a false negative message and a bug. It has since been resolved in the 8.10.0 update.

It doesn't prevent you from playing, but it has been fixed. If you're seeing it, you need to update your client.

it refuses to update

I downloaded it and it is version 2.6.10.1

and it shows number of players -1

is there any direct link to cersion 2.8

I am having the same issue... Client won't update.. stuck at 2.6.10.. Any recommendations? I have unistalled and re-installed the client several times.  Still will not update.

If you were using a VPN, turn it off and try again.
If you weren't, try with a VPN!

If that doesn't work, go to Options => Updater => Force Update.

I've created a temporary installer for the latest 8.13.1 version. 
https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet5_YR_Installer_8.13.1.exe

If this works ok for you, I'll make it the default installer for everyone.

the game was working until today morning

the latest link update give me version 8.15

do you have a direct link to the latest version because it refuses to update
