dragonraw
I am trying to install RA on a new macbook pro. I downloaded playonmac and RA and went through the tutorial. I cant figure out how to unzip the RA files into drive C. I can open and play the game using playonmac but the screen is small and i cant open the ddraw.ini to configure the screen size. Help me please.
FunkyFr3sh
hi, i was recently updating RA1installer (a tool to install red alert) for mac/linux .. It does configure your ddraw/wine settings automatically, you can get it here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org check out the new tutorial here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/playonmac_playonlinux/

I cant find the folder in the c drive because i cant figure out how to move the downloaded file into the c drive.. Thanks for the help..
FunkyFr3sh
do you try to install it with the iso files ? You have to mount them to any location you like, then select it Or about which file are you talking (please tell the name, just to be sure)? You can also do a web-install, which will do everything automatically

carbo-fation
First of all, thank you for your links. I was able to install this on my mac. My only question is how can get to the draw.ini folder to configure the screen size?
Allen262
The ddraw.ini file in the newer install setups don't set screen size. redalert.ini is now doing the screen size. You can open the redalert.ini with a basic text editing program and the redalert.ini should have Width= and Height= in the [Options] part of the file. Not a mac person so I could be all wrong as well.
