Tore
We do not cover much about C&C games released after 2001 on this website, but once in a while something interesting shows up and since news has been quiet here for a while, it would be nice to see it be used. Renegade X is a fan made recreation by Totem Arts of C&C: Renegade the one and only first person shooter game in the C&C series. Released in 2002 C&C: Renegade was based in the world of the original C&C. While the development team of Renegade did take some liberties with the story and units from the original C&C (aka Tiberian Dawn) it was a good game after most of the release bugs were sorted. Renegade X will cover the multiplayer aspect of C&C: Renegade (C&C mode), it has faithfully recreated many of the gameplay elements while adding new things like capturable tech buildings I'll let the Renegade X team describe Renegade X in their own words. Renegade X - We Did It Renegade X started as a mod for Unreal Tournament 3, but after the release of the Unreal Development Kit (UDK) they took it upon themselves to made a stand alone game. Being based on the UDK allows Renegade X to have graphics, effects and sounds on par with modern games while being able to scale good enough to run on computers that aren't as recent. Minimum: Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista 2.0+ GHz processor 2 GB system RAM SM3-compatible video card 4 GB free hard drive space Recommended : Windows Vista 64 SP2 2.0+ GHz multi-core processor 4 GB system RAM NVIDIA 200 series or higher graphics card Plenty of HDD space Renegade X has been in development for 7 years.
