Allying with AI

I've looked everywhere and I can't find how to ally with the AI. Maybe the answer is right in front of me but I can't see it, can anyone help?

where do you even try this? it works in the cncnet lobby if you either enable the option or you just go into the same team with an ai player before the game starts
