haha i RANDOMLY decided to search red alert and ended up finding this place. damn, i remember spending way too much time playing this game back years ago.

 

I've read through setting up the game and getting back online. do a lot of people still play online? how is the game speed / connections now?

There's quite a few RA players online you can check the online status page here: http://cncnet.org/network-status

 

The connections are good if you can find people with good connections. CnCNet is quite tolerant of bad connections, but even it has its limits.
