Played RA1 plenty of times with no problems. Just recently the only screen resolution I can play in is 1920 x 1080. Which fills the screen and would be fine but everything is small and harder to see.
Always before I could play in different setting and it always filled the screen. Played at least a 100 times no problem. Now if I try my normal setting of 1024 x 768 or any other setting, when the game starts I get a window that is only about 50% of my screen size. And instead of a size like 16.9 it looks more like 4.3.
I spent a bit of time and checked everything I could think of and even reinstalled RA a few times. And even a complete restore from a image of my PC. Nothing has worked so far. This problem is on a 6 month old Dell XPS 18, but I don't have anyother problems with it. But also don't play anyother games to compare with.
I have another PC and no problems. RA plays like it should.
