Setting up RA2YR on a Mac with Crossover

Hey guys,

 

I've just come across this community, so happy to see this game is still alive! I've missed it.

 

I really want to get playing, but unfortunately I only have a mac these days, so it's not quite straightforward.

 

I've used the search function and checked the FAQ, but I wasn't able to find much information on the topic, apart from confirmation that it possible to get it to work using Crossover.

 

Would someone be willing to explain the process of setting this up properly on a mac using Crossover?

You can try it via the portingkit, that's free (unlike crossover)

 

You need to own the game though

I didn't try red alert 2 in the porting kit yet, but in case the game runs slow then there are different ways to speed it up, using ddwrapper(+novideomemory) for example

I also just tried it in Crossover, I'm getting the same issue I guess I should continue the discussion in that thread.
