Yuri`s Revenge has crashed

Hello,

 

I tried to start the game "Yuri's Revenge" but as soon as I click on a button on the menü I get the following message: Der Typeninitialisierer für "Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media.MediaPlayer" hat eine Ausnahme verursacht. If it's helpful, i can translate the message into English. Im running Win 10 on an older I5 and the game was downloaded from origin.

 

I would be very thankful if you could help me

We'll have a fix for this released soon, in the meantime to play you can:

 

Remove the following files:

<YR directory>\Resources\Yuri Theme\MainMenuTheme.xnb

<YR directory>\Resources\Yuri Theme\MainMenuTheme.wma

I just installed the game (Yuri's revenge) and the freshly downloaded CnCnet installer.

CnCnet wanted to upgrade itself to 3.2.0 when I launched it

 

When running the game (with admin privileges) I get exactly the same error message:

Yuri's Revenge has crashed. Error message:

 

Microsoft.Xna.Framework.Media.MediaPlayer initialization..

 

 

I tried to remove the mentioned files but it didn't help. What else can I do? Please help!

Ok...

I got the same error. Deleting those files didn't help. I tried a couple things i found on the Internet (and already forgot)  but nothing worked. Today i reinstalled the game and now its crashing even earlier. Can't even update.

Im using Bitdefender, just in case that might be a antivir problem.

It seems to work with the same installfiles on my laptop. The difference is, i made yesterday on my PC a big Windows update (haven't done that for years) but not on my Laptop.
