Irony
No surprises, Windows 2000 is pretty similar to Windows XP for a lot of things Still not a supported config though
pichorra
Windows 2000 SP4 = Windows XP SP2 wihout Crap of visual styles and wihout SoundBlaster emulation by default. this is true, Windows 2000 can still handle so many app. only hacking the register/installer, like VMWare Player, MSN 7.5, Avast! 5 (need rollete up v2) in others. Windows XP is Windows 2000, but now, Windows 2000 ended the support and XP will end in 2014... and about the olds comp.? installing Windows 7 in a P3, or similar is not good... Irony
windows 2000 lacks a proper Direct X and a few other bits and pieces. well, if you're happy with the comp, don't upgrade... I know I found my Core 2 Duo computer a bit slow, so I've upgraded to an i7, it's all about preference, I guess
