Matos Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hello I wanted to try out ra1 over the internet. When I go to network at says: "Welcome to cncnet ......" "connected to IP ....." and " Warning: Random ports detected , check your setings! " There arent any players so I dont know if it works. So what should I do, what settings do I have to check - thanks
0 Tore Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 It will probably work fine. A random port occurs when there is something blocking the normal port (8054) it can be your firewall, your router or something else. Try to download this and put it in your RA folder, it will force CnCNet to use port 8054.
0 Tore Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Doesn't work as in? Try to right click and click on "saved linked content as" (or something similar) then you should be able to download it. Or else it will just display as a website. You could check the configuration file page for CnCNet too.
0 Matos Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 didnt know I have to use it with the notepad Anyway , the network works with firewall turned off manually ( I saw one player there ) but that random ports message is still there. But when I copy that cncnet.ini file in to the game folder , it seems like I didnt connect to cncnet at all ( there s no message: welcome to cnc... ) (sorry for my bad english)
0 Tore Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 The "welcome to CnCNet" message only comes every 10 minutes from the last connection to the server.
0 Matos Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 oh , so there arent any players playing this game?
0 Tore Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Not at this point in time, find players on the IRC CnCNet is in early development, when we start promoting it more; more and more people will come.
