Players Ping = unknown - reasons?

I try to avoid laggy games by kicking players with high pings.

For some players it shows something like ping = unknown

 

Does someone know the reasons why it shows "unknown"?

is it an issue with local configuration of the player (firewall/antivirus/router) or is this caused by the path of the connection?

Happens when the client doesn't get a ping reply from the selected tunnel server. It could happen because of the player's local configuration, the tunnel server's configuration, or by something in between.

Do you know what could be the local configuration causes for this? maybe we can write a guide on how to configure router/firewall/antivirus properly...
