Hotkey's for selecting building when placing without going to sidebar

I've noticed in some of Sol's videos he's able to select the building that's just been completed and place it without going to the sidebar, I was just wondering is this a new feature added? And how do I go about setting this up?

Go to the hotkey editor in the game and set a key for Interface -> Place Building.
