tl;dr I just wanna play original TS & FS campaigns with TSR mod. You're client has gone beyond standard TS version 2.03 that TSR won't work properly. I'll keep messing around, but I think the easiest solution is to get the original tiberian sun game going again, strictly for TSR fueled campaign missions. Sorry to double post, but damn, I'm having trouble getting tiberian sun retro to work with this client for Nod singleplayer campaign. To install TSR into your client, I had to put the mod files in the right subfolders, such as the INI and MIX folders, and then rename TSR's expand02.mix to expand11.mix - as long as its above 4 it should work, because your client has expand1-4 used up already. What I'd love is to play the original Nod campaign; with TSR's changes, the Nod faction has so much more units to play with. Plus, TSR makes TS's atmosphere alot better, what with all of the subtle changes, such as background sound effects, much better looking vehicles (especially on Nod side), better GFX (like for the flame tank's fire) - if you're gonna play original TS, you might as well play TSR. So I almost got the Nod campaign to work. I've only tried to start the campaign, and that works. I can play the first mission. However, the cinematic doesn't play. I can start the GDI campaign and watch the cinematic too, but for some reason the Nod one doesn't play when you start. The GDI campaign, and both firestorm campaigns (at least start off) do play their cinematic videos, but the Nod one does not. Another interesting thing is that in TSR, the Nod laser turret has a new GFX (what is it a voxel?), but in the first Nod mission, the two laser turrets at your base use the old GFX, and then only half of it! You can see the tower part of the laser, the stem part, if you will? But not the actual turret! So its just a little red stick that shoots lasers, instead of a stick with a gun on top. This also is the case in skirmish. So I've heard that the changes your client does includes extra videos for the Nod campaign. TSR's download includes a mission.pkt file and a multi01.pkt file. Perhaps this has something to do with why the Nod campaign videos do not play. I'm gonna mess around as much as possible with all the files, maybe merge some mixes. Is there anyway I can extract every single file from a mix at once? XCC Mixer only seems to allow you to extract one file at a time. I want to merge all the files within TSR's expand02.mix with your client's mix files or something. Any help would be appreciated. Yes, I know TSR was not made out for campaigns at first. But there have been fan made patches, plus I can mod the rules.ini to allow engies to capture buildings, thats easy enough - one of the main reasons TSR is not singleplayer friendly, is because certain structures have been changed, and then made out to be uncapturable, preventing you from completing certain missions. Trust me menn! TSR is worth all this trouble. Unless I can find a better "vanilla" TS mod...

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!! I'm gonna download this, and then download Tiberian Sun Retro, plus the TSR campaign fix, and badda boom badda bing! I'll replay all the campaigns in all their FMV glory with the benefits of TSR's modded stuff, get high, and drunk, and stoned, and have a blast. You guys are such enablers, its awesome!!! Thank you!

OMG I have this same issue with TS and RA2. RA2 I fixed with separate .DLL file, but for TS it doesn't work. I downloaded a standalone version but I don't think its a very good version. My version doesn't have the launcher or the TS config menu, nor the CnCNet5 stuff. Where is the link to this ultimate standalone version of TS? This way I can set the TS DDRAW setting.

My original version of TS was the one with the fan made launcher, that allowed you to setup a skirmish match using the ulterior match setup screen, allowing you to choose starting positions, and ally with AI players, etc. But it started getting all wonky - I had the resolution set to 1920 x 1080, plus I had added a .dll file that the Yuri's Revenge pcgaminggaming wiki offered. This file helped make the game run properly on Windows 7 machines, so that the menus worked properly, and there was no ingame lag. In TS, I go to start up a skirmish match, and the in game screen is fucked. It showed the map split in two - I could see my starting units on two sides of my screen, there where black tiles cutting into the game... I jsut had no idea. So I deleted the version of TS I had, and got a new version, from this website: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Tiberian_Sun#Availability I got the unofficial link. The website said if you have too many savegame files, loading a campaign map could lead to a crash. Just a side thing. Now that I have this new version of TS installed, I load up the game, go to click on Settings off of the main menu with the blue text? That works, the background menu music stops, and then the little window appears giving me further options. So I go to screen resolution, but when the listings appear, I go to select a resolution, and I hear a click, but nothing gets highlighted, and the screen flickers for a split second. So I click again, and now a resolution higher up on the list from the one I clicked on gets highlighted... I click a thirds time, and finally, the desired resolution gets highlighted... You see, the reason I fucked around so much with my previous TS installation, was to get the menus to work properly. For example, during gameplay on the previous version I had, I would pause the game in singleplayer, but I couldn't see the options menu! I had to Alt-Tab in and out to actually get to see the options. I have Windows 7, and am running on admin. - - - Also, does anyone actually have savegame files for both the original GDI & Nod campaigns, and the GDI & Nod Firestorm campaigns? It looks PlanetCnC is down, and I couldn't find them on file front either. Any insight would be appreciated.

Its not just that, I've fucked around with almost everything. So I deleted the version I had, and got a new version, from this website: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Tiberian_Sun#Availability I got the unofficial link. The website said if you have too many savegame files, loading a campaign map could lead to a crash. Just a side thing. I'm looking for save game files for every mission and expansion mission. Planet C&C is dead... Anyone have any links? Or even a trainer to skip missions. I've already beaten a few, and now my mod changes are giving me IEs everytime I try to load up my last checkpoint, even if I try to restart the mission........
-
looks cool, but will any new features be added, like high resolution, build queues, being able to add to your selection of units holding down shift and box selecting? Being able to choose starting locations on skirmish maps, and having the AI be on your team? I've kinda become addicted to Dawn of the Tiberian Age.

Making the APC buildable by Nod in Campaign? (C&C95)

Ahh, ok, I see. Tores solution is better though. Its the quick Fast fix, and I'll be copacetic in sticking with the intended tech level of any particular mission. QUestion. How do you affect buildspeed? I want walls to be built reasonably faster. Not super super fast, (like instant) but, I did this for walls and concrete slabs in my dune2k mod, and its great for setting up barriers quicker, so you can get back to the battle, and, I liked it. -
How I thought the grenade thing made a difference? I proly was drugged (self induced) and drunk (also self induced). TBH, the clickity click is very subtle, especially with the ingame explosions firing off all the time, soldiers screaming, and my death metal blaring. But when it goes all quiet, I can hear all these clicky fucks! Oh well. Just gotta keep it loud! To me, it has become barely audible. I'm going thru the campaign right now and I'm barely disturbed by it.

Making the APC buildable by Nod in Campaign? (C&C95)

its more, heres a pic, it's called neo hex editor. First time I've ever done this before, lol. I MUST have the APC, and than everything else that Nod would get in Multiplayer for singleplayer. I will sacrifice somebody to some god if need be: EDIT: HOly fuck. Wow, no fucken kidding. All I had to do was type in topoftheline, and now I can build it all? Thanks Tore, thats some good shit. I think I'm going to abandon Hex editing, haha -
I unchecked disable grenade and TBH the clicking seems to be reduced, I swear to god, its not as loud anymore.

Making the APC buildable by Nod in Campaign? (C&C95)
DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr replied to DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr's topic in Modding Discussion
SHIT! I just downloaded some random Hex Editor, and using it, I opened up the C&C95.exe. But I could only find 3A910 and 3A920. They go by 10's only! DAMN YOU, cruel world! I'll keep fiddling around with the program, adjust viewing properties or something? -
Its like an audio skip, a short burst of static. I've tried different resolutions, that doesn't affect it. Turning off the Advanced gfx options (the DLL or whatever) makes the screen all screwy, so thats not an option (not sure if that removes the clicky sound either), and I've got "automatically adjust mouse sensitivity to resolution", and I've got "Limit Framerate" On. Back buffer in Video Memory and Stretch Movies to Full screen are both turned on. You think its the Stretch Movies To Fullscreen thats making the clicky sounds? I am so sad right now, the damn... unholy.... CLICK sound, is evil incarnate. EDIT: Hmm, I also got disable Grenade sound checked off. I'll look into the sound options tab some more. Maybe its just Windows 7 being a dick?

Ahhh, thank you very much! Your linked CCConfig has a tab for hotkeys. Awesome!

I would love to do that Hex Editing. I gotta go get a hex editor, than change some key values around to get that damn APC, the helipad, apache, chinook, chem warrior, ETC., to be buildable in the Nod campaign? To free the aforementioned units from thisd "hard coded" crap, and to make them buildable in the game, based on their basic "BuildLevel" level number? :D I AM STARTING TO LEARN! RA1 was SO much easier to mod -
Wow! I wanna see them curtains. Aight, I'll look around. DO you know the hot key for the Repair cursor? Thats the only thing I really want, lol.

Making the APC buildable by Nod in Campaign? (C&C95)
DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr replied to DoMiNaNt_HuNtEr's topic in Modding Discussion
I'm sorry, I don't know what that means. And, TBH, I'm using TibEd, which, yah, sorry about that. I don't know how to edit C&C games without the "rules.ini"! PLz HELP! WHICH LINE DO I NEED TO GO TO THE TOP OF? Actually I gotta an other question too. Sorry, I should have made this thread titled: "C&C GOLD Modding Questions". Go ahead and change this thread to that, if theres a mod around. - I want to make all infantry self heal, like the mammoth tank. Can this be done? Does anyone know? TibEd don't let me do it, lolz. I'm also looking to get Helipads, Apaches and Chinooks buildable in campaigns. -
I got the C&C GOLD full install and got the Nyerguds patch. Everything is awesome, wicked huge resolution, but, theres this clicky sound that occurs occasionally, when the game's sound effects take place. Example, the Westwoody intro video logo video, you go to hit "Esc" key to skip it, and you hear this little "click" sound. Also, when the Eva unit says "building", every other time she does it, theres a couple of clicks added to the speech. Any ideas on how to get rid of that? I've been messing around with the CCConfig tool, but still haven't managed to get rid of them damn little clicky sounds, lol. HELP MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
-
I know that to make multiplayer only units buildable, you have to take out the tech level from 99, or whatever, and apply a normal tech level. But the APC already has a normal tech level... O_o Anyone know how to get the APC buildable for Nod in the campaign? I'm hoping for both vanilla and Covert Ops.

HEELLLL YEEA, thanx bud. Its all twerkin' good now!
-
I don't see the remap hotkeys function in the ccconfig tool. I got the C&C95 version from Nyergud's links.
-
I redownloaded it, and this time, yes, it does show me those options. TBH, I was fucken around when trying to find this TS full install. I must have been mistaken. Now its showing me the options. Thank you! When I redownloaded it from the link I posted, this time, I let the installer install into the default path. And thats when the checklist that you pictured appeared. And unlike the author of this thread reported, my estimated download time for the movies is only 30 minutes.
-
Yah your right, I just extracted the movies and they don't work. The download I mean is this one: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=41 I got the beta one mentioned in the first paragraph, and the installer didn't give me any option to include the movies. I'll check PPM right now. EDIT: The PPMsite movie file is the same, "movie.exe" I'm using the IE draw option cause thats the one that works the best for my system. While using the TS draw, to open up the settings menu on the main menu of TS, it takes almost 10 seconds to open, plus you can't play the campaigns for some reason. I'm runnin on Win 7 as admin, but no compatibility. I'll try compatibility now, and keep testing.
