  1. Are you using some version of TS-DDRAW by any chance? It has a known issue of lagging when moving mouse. Any other ddraw.dll overwrite could cause that too tho You can also try enabling Video Backbuffer or disabling it if its enabled, iirc there was a option in the current clients settings window else open ra2md.ini set VideoBackBuffer=Yes or No if its already on. You can also try AllowVRAMSidebar=Yes, it forces the game to load the sidebar in GPU memory, might change something if for some reason sidebar drawing is impacting the cursor drawing.
  2. Saying take it up to EA, lol, funny No one. EA doesn't and never have considered XWIS as to be a official server. http://forum.alliances.commandandconquer.com/showthread.php?tid=38184&pid=203486#pid203486
  3. Well then M$ didn't do their job right then, just don't tell them that or they will fix it Well sorta, cncnz hosted Command & Patch and on there the no-cd exes were available.
  4. The reason why the games and installations apparently too don't work on 10 is because of the copy protection. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/08/17/windows-10-safedisc-securom-drm/ You need to get a no-CD crack for all games that use either SafeDisc or Securom, all Westwood games starting with TS use SafeDisc (as well as TFD and likely TUC). As far as Emperor goes, Westwood released their own no-cd patch, its on the FTP. As far as the rest go, iirc cncnz.com hosted bunch of them.
  5. Actually WW had a countdown site till the RA reveal. That's why it says "The countdown begins this April", its a promo for the site. For trivia, the font used for that RA logo is called Stencil
  6. Well, unless someone knows a fix, I guess I am going to have to use Mono tracks for the menu and victory themes. What happened to Iran, btw? I sent him a PM and asked a few questions on these forums, but there has been no response from him. I don't seem to get these issues, just some clicking and popping in the score screen which is related to the known freeze at scorescreen for no apparent reason bug. I doubt there were easy to afford sound cards in 199X that could support such audio as RA did, doubt Westwood did extensive testing, its a miracle the audio engine is so advanced. Tbh asking for 48000 is just way too much, especially if you use 44100 tracks upsampled to 48000 which just adds a load of empty space in the track past the 44.1K mark. Try 44100 Hz before you resort to Mono. To celebrate AudioSet release here's a new smiley :heady:
  7. Looks like they made a load of compression formats. Seems to me this is only the tip of the iceberg.
  8. Windows 7 64-bit. Did you convert the file using the same method I did, with the export button? There is no other. I used your file you linked above and it flat out worked. Could be some sort of a 64-bit issue maybe. I'm on 32-bit Win 7
  9. Weird, that file converted for me. Are you running a 32 bit OS or a 64 bit OS?
  10. It's not "Microsoft signed" its Microsoft WAV.It's just a format that the file is saved as, it doesn't alter the quality. Signed and Unsigned is simply ways of storing the data. Unless you go from floating point to 16-bit no, PCM is lossless. ADPCM isn't. Worth mentioning that all music CDs have PCM 44100 hz 16-bit audio on them, you can't store higher quality audio on the CDs.
  11. Notes on Stereo support. C&C DOS supports Stereo aud files however it is forced to play audio back as Mono. C&C95 and RA fully support Stereo aud's up to 48000 hz currently, however 64000 should be the theoretical limit, at this time the tool seems to corrupt audio with higher frequencies than 48000. Sole Survivor does not properly support Stereo audio. It does play it back in stereo but with pops and clicks Dune 2000 Does not support Stereo at all Tiberian Sun Does not support Stereo at all either Red Alert 2 support is unknown, its known it should be able to handle aud but if it indeed does its likely to be the same as TS.
  12. The tool only supports Microsoft signed 16-bit PCM. To save as MS WAV : In Audacity pick WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM In Adobe Audition pick libsndfile as format and from there select Waveform audio.strangely that's what Adobe calls MS WAV. Make sure to uncheck "Include markers and other metadata" because the tool doesn't support that data. Pretty sure all audio tools should have option to save as MS Wav
