GeForce 6 laptop, Tib Sun crashes

I've got an old laptop, Toshiba Tecra S3, which I wanna use as un ultimate retro gaming machine. I've installed Tib Sun, then Firestorm, then official 2.03 patch. When I launch the first mission, play for some time (a minute or two), then game crashes into Windows XP with default windows error. Any chance I can fix it without custom patches? The whole point of this laptop is to play games in their original state.

• Try windows update service. There should be updates available for old xp windows. 
• Also you may install game from online directory https://cnc-comm.com/tiberian-sun/downloads/the-game/installer 
• Finally check for Compatiblity like ''Run as Administrator''and game resolution settings.

I know you said no patch, but there are a few (4) files which may actually fix it...
