Issues Connecting to CNCNet Tunnel Servers for Multiplayer Games

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble connecting to the tunnel servers when trying to play multiplayer games on CNCNet. Here’s the situation:

Problem Details:

1. Connection Timeouts: Whenever I attempt to join a game, the connection to the tunnel server either times out or shows a high ping, making it impossible to join.
2. Firewall Configurations: I’ve already added exceptions for CNCNet in my Windows Firewall and even temporarily disabled it, but the issue persists.
3. Port Forwarding: I’ve forwarded the required ports (TCP/UDP as per the CNCNet documentation) on my router, but there’s no noticeable improvement.
4. Different Tunnel Servers: I tried switching between various tunnel servers in the settings, but all of them give the same result.
5. Internet Speed: My internet connection is stable with good speed, and other games or applications work fine.

Steps I’ve Tried:

• Reinstalled CNCNet client to ensure no corrupted files.
• Verified my router settings and reset it to default before reconfiguring.
• Tested on a different PC using the same network and encountered the same issue.
• Checked the CNCNet forums for similar problems but couldn’t find a working solution.

Questions:

1. Is there a way to test if the tunnel servers are reachable from my network?
2. Are there additional ports or configurations I might have missed?
3. Could this issue be caused by my ISP blocking specific traffic? If so, how can I confirm and resolve it?
4. Are there any logs or diagnostic tools within CNCNet to better understand the connection issue?
