update issue

I tried to install red alert 1 online on a windows 7 64bit computer and when i open the game it comes to the trying to update part and then says it cant connect check firewall.. so i tried turning off my firewall and antivirus and still nothing...

 

I then tried my sons computer on the same network and everything worked like a charm first go around...

 

So how do i fix the first computer?

something seems to block it still, maybe you didnt turn the security programs off completly

try to run it as admin too

Yep tried to run as admin also... maybe i need to uninstall the security software and start over

so no virus software and windows firewall is all turned off and no go also ran as administer  but that didnt help either....

Nothings worked so im going to start over with a fresh copy of windows....
