Problems with playing older CnC games// when I alt tab screen just goes black

Hi I'm new to the forum here. Im having issues with the older CnC games just locking up when I alt tab out to look at something else, also the sound keeps playing like the game is running but the screen never recovers. If anyone has a fix for this i'd really like to know!

Are you using our installers from www.cncnet.org ? Did you change the video settings?

 

Could you tell us which games you are talking about, that would help a lot. And your operation system too

The games i'm having issues with are everything before CnC 3 tiberium wars and i have a 64 bit operating system. I got it from the ultimate collection from origin. Also did not change video settings.

With newer games we cannot really help, since this here is mainly about the very first games

 

You have to know that Alt+Tab will not be working on Tiberian Sun/Red Alert 2 on windows 8 / 8.1 / 10, there is no proper fix for this problem yet

Alright so what files should i drop these patches into.

You should run the patches and they should find your origin folder automatically, if not then select it manually
