RA2 Connection Error After 30 Seconds

Hey guys, I like to play RA2 against my girlfriend at home via the CnCNet launcher.

 

Problem is, sometimes (not always) we keep getting "Connection Error" after about 30 seconds of game play. It's very frustrating.

 

Is there anything we can do against this?

Hey mrboon! Do you happen to have a file called wsock32.dll in either of your game directories?

I do not no. I used to though, before I used the CnCNet launcher, to allow for LAN play in RA2 itself. But via the CnCNet launcher it wasn't needed as far as I know.

 

Should I add it?

No, the file isn't needed with CnCNet.

When you say connection error is there a pop-up with both players showing in blue or red?

 

Or is it a pop-up that says reconnection error?
