Why am I banned?

Upon trying to login to the CNCnet lobby I get the following message "Error: cannot join game, You are banned!"

 

I can't figure out why I've been banned. I posted a stream of messages advertising a game that needed some more players ( 4 in a row I believe) but it used to be that you only got muted if the amount of "spamming" was too bad.

 

With all things being thrown at you in a private chat after the opponent lost or was kicked from the game it seems a bit harsh to get banned for a few non-insulting messages in the chat lobby..

 

Is there anything I can do to get unbanned?

 

 

EDIT:  I seem to have been unbanned..

 

Is this the new form of muted? In that case no problem, I'll keep that in mind and minimize the amount of "spam"

You were spamming in the same minute. People in the lobby have better things to read.

YEs, that what I thought, but it used to bee so that you only got muted, that's why I was surprised. I'll make sure to keep the advertising to a minimum
