Hi, decided to post some maps that Ive done recently, in this thread.

Any and all comments welcome - enjoy!

 

When making each map I try to get opinions of people who actually played the map, and then listen to their comments and try and incorporate them into the maps.

 

Each map is zipped and available for download - link under the thumbnail.

 

 

 

 

 

Map name: "4 Way Slim Jam"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - No Mod Maps - 4 Way Slim Jam V.4.0

Map type: 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4

 

 

Map Info: Non Modded map. No mods, no cheats, RA1 rules.

Symmetry for equal chances - 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4. Focus on teamwork.

More players - less space to build, different tactics, mine ore to get more space!

 

Tip 1: There are 2 ways that are known to me regarding building a Refinery on the bottom island - first is to transport MCV and harvester, harvest to make room for both Refinery and Construstion Yard, while the second consists of transporting an MCV, deploying it, building a small structure such as a silo, selling the Construction Yard and then building Refinery in place next to the silo.

 

Tip 2: Beware of enemy engineers transported by sea to your base, especially at early phases of play.

 

Important: There were 3 prior versions, all of which were inferior to this version. Be sure to play V.4.0 - which is this version here.

Map name: "Forest Island"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - Infinite Ore - Forest Island

Map type: 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4

 

 

Map Info: Infinite ore - only modded feature. Tiberium does not spread, but is infinite, however it is only on 1 square/tile for each player (considering that 8 players play, as there are 8 tiles in total, 4 on each side).

Symmetry for equal chances - 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4. Focus on teamwork.

Important feature of this map: there is no possibility to build past middle, so base-crawling is impossible.

Remember to counter Allied-Forces' navy!

Map name: "Just Crates"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - C8s4M8s 01 - Just Crates

Map type: Crate map

 

 

Map Info: Small map. Crates moded to appear more frequently. There is a tiberium mine in the top right corner that will spam tiberium with time, but this map is intended for fast pace action without the need for tiberium collection as all money (as well as other goodies) will be available to the player from crates. Stealth is also available in crates.

Map intended to play on tech level 9 as maximum tech, as Abomb automatically loads, as there is no timer once you recieve it in a crate.

Map name: "Silo Panic"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - Cr8s4M8s 02 - Silo Panic

Map type: Crate map, Team Crate map

 

 

Map Info: Small map. Crates moded to appear more frequently. Atomic Bomb power increased to x3, and appears a little bit more frequently in crates (but still not that much). PLayers start outside and move in to look for space to build base.

Map intended to play on tech level 9 as maximum tech, as Abomb automatically loads, as there is no timer once you recieve it in a crate.

Fast paced map. Middle ground intended for building a base, outer regions for uninterupted crate scouting. Silo in middle is only for aestethic reasons.

Dont forget to destroy barrels to make room for building your base.

Map name: "Concrete Parking"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - Cr8s4M8s 03 - Concrete Parking

Map type: Crate map, Team Crate map, 1v1,2v2,3v3,4v4 (untick crates in room lobby options) - up untill tech level 9 - because of no Abomb timer

 

 

Map Info: Small map. Crates moded to appear more frequently. Invisibility removed - not available in crates as it produced play times lasting even up untill 2 hours.

Space on map for 8 players to build bases. Start at so called "concrete parking" in middle of map and move outwards in search of place to build base.

Possible strategy to win this map is to block passages with units, taking over portions of the map as your army grows bigger.

 

Map can be played without crates, just untick the crate option in the room, but make sure to play at a maximum tech level 9, as the Abomb has no refil time and is instant.

Map name: "Crate Bait V.2.0"

Map name in cnc lobby: Kaligulas Maps - Cr8s4M8s 04 - Crate Bait V.2.0

Map type: Crate map

EDIT: UPDATE: Changed the frequency of the crates appearing as it was too litte - now its more and its more fun!

 

Map Info: Medium map. Crates moded to appear more frequently. Invisibility not available in crates. There are ore mines throughout the map, so ore will grow within time. Perphaps it is a good idea to have a refinery just in case...

Space on map for 8 players to build bases.
