Can anyone help me please, I have owned two games of C&C Generals since 2012 and they have been working fine until recently. Now when I try to run them I get the prompt "please log in with administrator privileges and try again". I have uninstalled them and reinstalled and still get the same response. If anyone can help I'd be very grateful. Please keep it as simple as possible because I'm not that great with computers. Thank you very much.

That means you need to run the game as administrator. Right-click on the game's shortcut (or .exe), choose Properties, go to the Compatibility Tab and tick "Run this program as administrator", then OK.

Actually, I think that's due to the SecuRom/SafeDisc disabling patch Microsoft released. The error message is wrong.
