Discovered the Out of Sys Problem!

hi, today, i pick up my cd of Covert operations, and copy the SCORES.MIX from my cd to C&C Directory, ok, nothing else. when my coisin arive, he's going to a computer wihout the scores.mix, because it's a work computer with a low capaciblity of Hard Disk, i Started c&c, hosted a LAN game, and he join (i'm with SCORES.MIX, he not), started and... out of Syc, tryed agan, out of syc, and i say: Mas que merda é essa? (WTF?), yesterday was normal, and i have the briliant idea to delete SCORE.MIX, worked, now, i think the mistery of out of syc was been solved.

 

ALL PLAYERS, PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE MUSIC UPGRADE TO AVOID THIS PROBLEM!

Dammit, I've noticed problems with the music settings before, but it's odd that THAT would cause problems...

@Nyerguds: Would you consider putting this in 1.06c? Because it actually does solve the Out of Sync errors.

problem is, the music upgrade would be silly if you start from the full 1.06b install.

Well, I do have the TFD.

it's fixed for 1.06c. The real problem was the Random function, which takes less time to find a theme to play if you got more themes. This means the problem can be solved if everyone

 

-has all music (for those who use the patch on a normal CD version, this means downloading the music upgrade pack)

or

-sets the StartMusic option to 2 or 0.

 

 

In 1.06c, random music start is disabled for multiplay, to prevent this problem.
